I wonder if the reason we don't see Steve and Kayla is that Stephen and Mary Beth were renegociating their contracts. Maybe Ron had to leave them out of his plans for a while, in case they wouldn't be on the show anymore.

I think they had already resigned at this point in taping.

They had, but I guess it could have affected plans going forward. Maybe they hadn't signed when this was written. But I don't really expect much to change for them. They don't seem to be overly connected to any of what the show seems to be doing going forward. It seems like the things we're heading into are the Will thing and whatever happens with JJ/Theo. They're related to those people, so they may have a place, but their relationships with those people haven't been highlighted much so I'd be surprised if their places in those stories were very central.

We are speculating on the spoiler. Maybe it's something else.

So, how many men has Nicole " loved" in the last 18 months? Doesn't mean anything to me anymore

She didn't fall for Xander and Dario who both had a thing for her.

That's just my speculation. The number of things that Paul can do that are illegal to find out if Will is alive or dead are rather limited at this moment so verifying his body in his grave seems logical. Doing it on Friday the 13th, the day Sami comes back seems like a great twist RC would love to write.

I'm hoping so but there's been no hint at all other than the Paul/John illegal spoiler and the picture of Sami at Will's grave so when you add 2+2...

There was an article somewhere about them wanting to exhume the body but Sonny not being able to because they were legally separated when Will died. It also said Lucas refuses, but there is one more person they can ask.

There was a picture of AS - Sami was sitting at the grave. Maybe it's before she gives her permission?
It didn't look like the grave was digged up.

Lucas has as much right as Sami and I doubt it can be done unless both agree, if both are in town.
Was not aware Will & Sonny were "legally" separated. When did that happen?

The article said they could go to one person. That wasn't my spin on it. I don't remember which article it was, though, and a couple of places tend to get carried away.

I don't expect their roles to be central in those stories, or to have any place in the Will story at all. But the JJ/Theo situation would be a perfect place to create a stronger relationship between Steve and JJ. It's a little frustrating that the reason S&K apparently shouldn't be involved in anything is because they don't have the necessary strength of relationships when the reason they don't have them is no one has bothered to write/build them.

JJ's father is dead and it's a good place for Steve to step in and provide some support/paternal guidance. And they could use the story to build that, not just create it out of thin air. So, I guess I disagree that they shouldn't be involved because the relationships haven't been highlighted when the story could be used to highlight it.

Don't get me wrong, I expect absolutely nothing. But it's not because it shouldn't or because they don't belong.

T-Boz' graveyard dancing fits the time frame of someone visiting "Will's" grave and possibly digging it up.

Oh I didn't say they shouldn't be. I just don't think they will be.

I agree.

Steve being somehow involved with the JJ aspect of things would also be interesting, as I'm pretty sure Kayla will be at least minimally involved with treating Theo (per set pics).

Like you, not expecting it, but it would add another layer to the story if they wanted to make it more umbrella-like.
