I dont see how unless you werent watching when Will became so ambitious he didnt care who he hurt, including his own cousin. Or when he continuously blew Sonny off because he was too busy with his so called career. Or when Sonny lost all of his and Wills money without even telling Will be took it in the first place. Or when Will went off to LA for weeks and barely called Sonny. |

True, but there's a polite way to convey the truth without just straight up lying to Sonny's face too. He did question it and rightfully so. Personally, I'd rather hear the truth than someone sugarcoating life for my own well being. |

What I saw was Paul continuously seeking out Sonny when after finding out that Sonny and Will were married he should have backed off. That's what I saw. He exploited the fractures that were already there. Yes, Will and Sonny had problems. Loads of them. Tons of them. None of them Paul's fault. But his behavior was far from innocent in the fallout. That's what I saw. It's still what I see. And for the most part, I like Paul. But I didn't like his behavior at that time. So, please stop telling me I'm wrong or that I wasn't watching. It is possible for two people (or more) to watch the same thing and have different interpretations of it. |

I didnt say you werent watching. I asked if you were because of your interpretation of Paul being "at the heart of" Wilson's problems. |

Yeah, and that didn't stop Paul one bit from chasing after Sonny like a rabid dog. Look, of course Will and Sonny had some problems, what married couple doesn't? Did they have some issues before Paul came to town? Sure, but that's not the issue here. The fact is that those problems could have easily been worked out had Paul not been in their hair 24/7. The issue is that even after the "truth" came out about the affair, Paul never once gave them space to get their marriage back on track. That is not discounting the fact that Will and Sonny made their fair share of mistakes in their marriage and are equally responsible for their separation. In summary, although Paul was one of their "main problems", he wasn't the only problem. Frankly, the fact is that he never once stepped aside to let them work on their marriage. Saying it and doing it are two entirely different things. For example, what Eric is doing for Nicole and Brady is something that can be classified as "stepping aside". Even Gabi has "stepped aside" from Chad and Abby for the most part. The reason that Will/Sonny fans give Paul a hard time is for that very reason. I can only imagine how little space Paul would have given Sonny had he elected to stay in Salem after Will was murdered. |

They shouldn't have made Paul John's son, he was fine just being an ex of Sonny's. Just one more thing TomSell screwed up. |

I get what you're saying. But in my view its up to the married people to save their own own marriage. Sonny could have bluntly told Paul to back off. And that he wasn't interested. And to leave them the hell alone. Yes he told Paul he was married but that wasnt enough in this case. Edited by SoapsandDaysfan, Sep 28 2017, 11:00 PM.

This was a really good episode. I know it's not necessarily a transitional one at this point (I think it's safe to say the majority of what's going on now is officially Ron) but it felt a lot like one of HigGriff's first transitional episodes from a couple years ago that I enjoyed. There were flashbacks and family moments and drama lurking... Just like today's show. I've been making the same complaints about the DiMera "family" for quite some time now, so I'll just leave it be today. But I'm still not a fan, lol. The Kiriakis stuff was fine, but I agree with the others who said that the Greek tradition scenes were a little odd since this isn't Sonny's first wedding. Justin talking about Sonny in his SpiderMan outfit was cute, though. And how hilarious was Bonnie getting all hot and bothered while hugging Paul and then trying to wear white to the wedding? So in-character for her. I think Ron really did his homework when he decided to bring her back! The Deveraux family scenes were amazing! The scene with Jennifer's veil played really nicely even though, as was the case with Sonny, it really would've played better at Abby's first wedding. Regardless, it was easily overlooked because the scenes were so well-written. I love their little family unit. Jennifer in particular is a treasure and I think Missy just gets better with time. I was crying right along with her when she talked about seeing Jack in her children and grandchild. Ben!!! I'm so pumped for his return. This wedding is about to be a major shit show and I think Ron has done a fabulous job with the set-up! |

Sure it is. Sonny actually told Paul many times that he was committed to making his marriage work. That's the crux of the problem. None of that registered to Paul. Thus the reason for a good chunk of the vitriol towards Paul. He STILL kept finding ways to hang around them. Sonny told him no. Will told him I don't know how many times to butt the hell out of their lives. Honestly, as much as it was Will's fault (and to a lesser degree, Sonny's) for all of their mistakes, it's understandable to a large degree why Will continued to act the way that he did. I mean, think about it. If your husband's ex-lover continuously hung around you 24/7 and never gave you anything that resembled space to focus on your marriage and your relationship, I think you'd be pretty upset too. Heck, I know I would be. I would probably lash out and do some not so admirable things either. IMO, it's also troublesome to me how little guilt or remorse Paul has felt or shown about the whole thing, other than a couple of passing conversations here and there (that really come off as more of an afterthought). I mean, I get that by making him John's son, he is suddenly absolved of anything resembling character flaws, but at least some minimal genuine guilt here and there would be appreciated and would go a long way. |

Honestly, I know Paul always had excuses to be around Sonny and whatnot, but I also seem to remember Sonny went TO Paul at least a couple of times. So it wasn't just Paul doing it. Sonny was kinda giving him mixed signals. |

Trying to remember the show from when I watched earlier today. Oh yea, I was surprised to find myself laughing at a Justin/Victor scene. I'd like Victor if he kept it light like that with his jokes and not just full of vulgar insults. John and Marlena were so sweet. Those moments between them, like when John kissed his two fingers and pointed them at her and she winked with a slight tear in her eye was perfection. It was worth waiting for them. Why is RC pushing this Kate/Andre thing? Am I suppose to think they're some kind of gruesome star-crossed couple? Never. Ever. I thought they were suppose to reference Bonnie's double mastectomy at sometime and have Justin or someone notice? If Justin didn't notice today there is no hope he will. Was Bonnie even wearing a bra in that candy-striper hooker dress? Jennifer, Abby and JJ scenes were really nice, especially the Jennifer and Abby scene toward the end. Both actresses were good and natural together. |

Today's show was pretty decent. I love the various interaction of characters but I could have done without Kate and Andre. |

Ageing is a natural process. I find it admirable when people in their 80s are well enough to work. I feel envious (in a good sense), not sad :). Edited by thepadange, Sep 29 2017, 06:38 AM.

Loved Victor! Justin and Sonny talking about the spider man outfit was good. I liked the Abby, JJ, and Jennifer scenes. Abby looked great. Jennifer looked good, but the color of the dress was a little dull. Loved the ending! RC did that on OLTL quite a bit. Can't wait to see Ben again!! |
