I wouldn't really be surprised if we found out that Paul knew about Will all along, but so far he's just coming across to me as a guy who is worried and protective over Sonny.
I’d love that, LOL! And we also find out Paul isn’t really John’s son while we’re at it. :cheer:

We’re abby and Chad told they had to stay at the church to lock it up?

A good twist would have been Abe telling John he was his choice for commish. I’m not excited to be seeing a lot of stupid drama between Rope in the future because she’s the commissioner.

Have they ever shared scenes when Will was a kid? The only one I remember is the one on the plane during Sami and Austin's vegas wedding.
Will was with them fairly regularly as a kid. He even lived at the penthouse a bit

They mentioned yesterday that they weren't taking him back to Bayview because he had already escaped it once and they didn't want to take that chance again.

I think he would need a lawyer because if Will is alive, that's one less person he killed. He could also try to get a lesser sentence for it and because he "did the right thing" by telling everyone about Will.
That doesn’t make sense. Send him to a high security hospital. Bayview should be shut down, LOL He needs medical supervision. They can’t just decide to lock him up at the SPD.

I get he could get a plea bargain. But he better spill it about Will ASAP or I’d think they’d just send him back to Bayview.
You don’t just take him somewhere random and drop him off. The police station would be a safe place to to detain him until they figure out what to do.

I liked most of this episode. Not as exciting/good as yesterday, but it didn't feel like they squandered the momentum either.

There were a couple of things that I didn't think played out the way they sounded in the tweets and posts before it aired. I didn't think Marlena's "apology" to John played badly at all. I liked that it showed that they know that there's some complexity to their allegiances with WilSon/PaulSon. I also don't think it was a literal apology anyway, so I don't think she was apologizing for her feelings. I think she was making a point of pointing out his own feelings. I liked that PLUS I liked that it gave John a chance to voice his feelings regarding Will...something that was missing in the fall of 2015.

I also didn't think Paul was as bad as he sounded. He definitely could have been a little less pushy and a lot more compassionate, but I thought it was pretty clear that he just fully believes Ben is lying and doesn't want Sonny to fall into a painful trap. It wasn't my favorite Paul, but I think it was an appropriate Paul...especially considering his inexperience with such things in Salem.

The stuff at the PD was fine. I do think FS has been better. Not great, but adequate. RSW was great, and Ben has had some really good dialogue. I also thought CM was better today. I thought it was stupid that Abe pulled Rafe and Hope away from work to give his decision that was being rushed because of the work they were doing. He should have just walked into the station, said "Hope's the boss," and then gotten out of the way. I also didn't care for the way the show treated it like a big surprise after they spoiled it. I'm getting much better at being okay with Hope as commissioner.

The J&M scenes were fine, and I'm glad he got her to admit that she's not fine. I wish those scenes hadn't happened in the crowded pub. I mean....even in real life if you get upset in a public place, you step outside. The park bench would have been more appropriate than that. Of course I'd prefer a home set, but I get that logistics for that don't always work out. Anyway, I liked seeing Marlena threaten a lawsuit for Bayview, and I wish she'd just do it. She should anyway. I really liked that they both admitted kind of sort of thinking Ben might know something.

I don't even know why Chabby were on today. It was weird that they were still at the church. Chad's amazement that Abby punched Ben is just so stupid. She tied him to a bed and set him on fire, but Chad thinks her right hook is impressive? Okay. Those two really need something else. They're not entertaining at all in this lovey dovey stuff. She's much better when she's in direct conflict with someone, and he's better with pretty much literally anything else.

In a weird move, the Kate/Andre stuff was the highlight for me. Now. I don't like this role for Andre, and it's ridiculous that he's who she was talking to, but looking past that, the initial scenes were really good. Kate's responses were very layered and complex. I love that she was upset about Will, upset about Lucas, and scared of Clyde being out (that was a nice surprise). I didn't enjoy the scenes when Kate fired Lucas a few weeks ago, but I like the layers they've put into that since then.

Oh, and it's dumb AF that Jack's kids are both on the side of "this can't be true." Come on.

They shared a bunch when CM was Will. The 2 I remember most vividly is when Will was playing Words with Friends" with Marlena, and he used the word" zombified" Marlena swore it wasn't a word. Will/John found it in a dictionary and cheered! it was a cute scene. they also of course had scenes when Jarlena returned in 2011 at HTS.

the other most important scene was when John found out about Will's alibi that cleared him from killing Stefano which outed Will. He went up to him, said he was proud of him and still loved him. it was a very poignant scene.

I love that scene, I was just talking about it with someone the other day. He said he loved will the same as the day before he knew ❤️

I forgot all about those scenes but I instantly remembered them when I read your post. Thanks for the reminder! I do hope we'll get more scenes with Will and John over CM's run.

If only John and Marlena had an actual house so they didn't have to do this in the middle of the pub.

Forgot to mention earlier, I don't know why the writers felt the need to add in Abby's line about Will teaching her to stand up for herself. First, it never happened, second, Abby's age is still so weird to me - she's one of the few soap kids that was desorased (is this a word, lol?), she is the most removed from Will's actual growing up story.

Except Chad isn't an overbearing bore trying to change Abby. He is just a stuttering, fickle, fool. :-/

This regime's penchant for writing off-screen childhood moments/other memories is annoying.
