I don't really mind the minor retcon that Sonny filed for a legal separation and got Will to consent enough to sign the paperwork (if Will's signature would've been needed to make it official). Sonny was furious when he left Salem, and I would even buy retroactively that Will signed it just to get on Sonny's good side and stall an actual divorce. Sonny expecting Justin not to file the papers after he signed them was goofy, but... meh. It doesn't really change anything, and it makes for interesting conflict going forward.

I liked today's episode so much more than yesterday's, and a lot of that is attributable to the lack of Rope.

My big WTF moment of the day: was that dude Nicole mistook for Eric just standing there staring at a wall/the papered-over window of a fro-yo shop? WTF?

Oh, and why did that customer at the Pub just have a bottle of liquor with the pourer on it at his table?!

Paul needs to STFU to Lucas. He shouldn't even be in this convo.
Exactly. He has ZERO business being part of this conversation. Let Sonny and Lucas figure things out like adults.

I think it shows that Paul really does care about Sonny and wants what is best for him. Sonny keeps telling him he needs to know the truth first.
I get he cares for Sonny but it's not his place to interfere with Lucas, IMO.
True. Especially in Lucas' current state I guess. But i do get why he is offering, etc.
I get it too. It doesn't mean that he should be involved in the whole discussion though. I'm pretty sure that they're supposed to be taking time to get this all figured out. That doesn't mean he has to be attached to Sonny 24/7 while doing so. Give the man some room to breathe already.

I just don't get this. It's the same literal day. They were apart in yesterday's episode. Sonny came back to him. They're discussing options. Lucas came in. It's not like Paul interrupted Lucas and Sonny. Plus Lucas was drunk AND the last time Sonny saw Lucas, Lucas kind of torn him apart. If Paul hadn't been there today, Sonny would have given up.

Justin if you don't wake up to Bonnie/ADrienne soon I'm going to have to dope up Hope and get nighttime Hope back around to whack you on the back of the head.
I think that was my favorite version of Hope (the mugger version anyways). Not whatever they have her as now. The mugger version didn't give a shit and spoke her mind and was just fun to watch. :D Plus, I didn't really mind her tormenting Bo and Carly because that relationship should've never happened to begin with.

There was a second retcon today that I did not like. Brady said that Sonny fired long time loyal Titan employees which is not what happened. Sonny fired 50 people who were new hires of Deimos. He also hired some them back after Brady and Justin chastised him about it.

I guess this was the setup for Vic to take Titan away from Sonny tomorrow. :eyeroll:

This may have been covered and I missed it, but was the scene in HTS with Nicole seeing the guy that looked like Eric the same one from the picture that was taken on AZ's last day in June?

I mean, Will being alive kinda affects him too. Plus he's there because of Sonny.

So they refilmed the scene of her finding Will'S body as played by Chandler. I wonder if they reshoT the actual strangulation scene too or is that the only part ?
No they did not refilm the scene of Gabi finding Will'S body in today's flashback with Chander, they just showed her finding his body without showing Will 's face.

Jason47, does Guy Wilson get paid for his body being shown but not his face?
He'll go on my monthly chart as a flashback, but that's a good question. Not sure if they don't show the face if you get paid or not. Certainly a surprise to "see" him today. Didn't think I'd be typing his name this week.

Was that GW? The body looked bigger to me.
If it was new, Chandler should have been credited this week, but he was not, so I was guessing it was Guy.

That baby is ridiculously cute - should have given her to Nicole years ago so we could actually benefit from the cuteness.

Talk about a cruel irony: After Ari was born, Adrienne tried to get Sonny to abandon Will, then a few years later, Lucas accuses Sonny of abandoning Will.

I agree. This should be between Sonny and Lucas. Paul has no business being there (just because he is engaged TO Sonny is no reason for him to be involved)
Why would Paul leave Sonny alone with Lucas? Just the other day, Lucas was drunk and attacked Sonny. And Lucas didn't even request talking to Sonny privately. Paul going after Lucas alone would have been weird tho.

Chloe has been telling too much lately
Me thinks this may be Lucas love interest again, since Sami is short term :ermmmm:

I thought this episode was really good, I watched the whole thing without losing focus once.

I'm fine with Chloe spilling the beans to everyone, the show needs characters like that. Maybe she wasn't the best person to tell Lucas but she wasn't the worst person either. And I'm glad she's going to tell Nicole about Eric, she sees what's happening. That being said, she did cover that Brady was drinking again, maybe because she didn't know that for a fact.

I didn't really pay attention at the wedding but I really love Nicole's dress and her hair in those episodes. Baby Holly was adorable. I can't wait for the Ericole goodness now. I just wish she wouldn't tell Brady things like "you're the only man" or whatever but maybe she's just trying to convince herself.

The legal separation thing was odd but I guess it's just a minor rewrite. It was just weird that Sonny never mentioned it when he said that Will didn't know he loved him, the fact that he sent him those papers would have been a good reason. I thought the Lucas/Sonny/Paul scenes were good. I'm glad that the tone was better but Sonny brought up the idea of exhuming the body too abruptly, Lucas' reaction made sense to me. And again, I see no problem with Paul being there. Is he supposed to crawl in a hole everytime he's around someone who was close to Will? It's not like Paul ruined Will's life or murdered him. This is one thing I'm looking forward to about Will's return, no more guilt tripping Paul or Sonny about it.

Then, I enjoyed the Gabi/Eli scenes, I could have done without the self defense lesson at the end, it was weird. But I loved that Gabi opened up to him. I don't think Camila and Lamon have major chemistry but I see a little spark. Hopefully, they can build on that over time.

I didn't mind Paul being there with Sonny when he was talking to Lucas.

I just thought he should have stayed out of the conversation.

Like I've said many times before, rational thinking/feeling or not, Paul was at the heart of Will's and Sonny's problems...not the ONLY problem but he was the biggest obstacle.

For Lucas, that has to sting.

So Paul should just sit back and chill when Lucas is around. IMO.

Maybe he "should" but honestly the thing I kind of like about the way this story is being written so far is that people's emotional responses to things are making sense to me for the most part. That's better writing. I think I feel more sympathetic about that than maybe some other viewers do but like a couple of people pointed out, the last time Sonny and Lucas were together like this, Paul stood there are watched his fiancé get attacked. Now his wedding day has just been utterly ruined and even if he shouldn't be involved in this, I also wouldn't excpect him to be particularly clear-thinking right now or to consider propriety his top priority. Same with the others involved in this. Sonny is a mess. Lucas is a mess.

I really wish the show had better younger couples. Eli and Gabi have barely existent chemistry. I can't think of a single younger couple that works as a story or has any chem.

All of the momentum from the first 2 days earlier this week has fizzled for me. It has also taken way too long to get Lucas back onscreen.
