What’s he done that’s even similar to stalker behavior?
His actions since Ben have seemed overtly possessive and creepy
What actions? He is offering to help Sonny find out the truth. He was pissed, sure, that his wedding was interrupted by a psychopath and that Sonny postponed due to something that he doesn't think is possible. But no way is he coming across as a stalker.

This isn't my favorite version of Paul, but I just don't see him doing anything wrong at this point. I don't think Sonny is doing anything right now either (well maybe the Titan stuff).

Honestly, if Paul wasn't hanging around and trying to help I'd question how much he actually loved Sonny, lol

I feel like we're having a lot of conversations where people want to blame one side of things. With Paul/Sonny. With the grave thing etc.

I think we're so used to such simple black and white writing that this more layered complex writing seems foreign. All sides can actually have a point in a story.

I don't think Paul or Sonny have done anything wrong yet. This is a mess they're trying to sort through. I don't think the grave thing will be any different. I can make it work from all sides. The wanting/needing to know. The potential anger too.

I can't imagine it being any less complicated as we get into the expected BLM story and will being alive and what that means for the family.

That's a good point. I don't think we are used to that kind of writing, when there is conflict between characters without one side being all good/right and the other side being all bad/wrong.

*sigh* I think I'm the only one here who LOVES Brady/Nicole. We all saw this coming, but it doesn't make it any easier to watch.

OOC for John to want the truth? OOC for John to want to help his son? Grandson-in-law? Step-grandson? Wife? Daughter (Sami)? He's been in Salem long enough to know this type of thing is a very distinct possibility. How many times has he himself come back?

Please!!

John is the most in-character he's been in years.
I think they mean OOC not to respect Sami and Lucas's wishes.

I'd expect John to convince them that this is something they really need to do and get them on board with the plan.

Who knows maybe he'll end up getting Lucas to sign off on it before he does it.
Seems like he'd just go through the legal channels if he convinced Lucas to sign off on it.

The only way this wouldn't be OOC for me is if John was convinced that Will wasn't in there (which may happen by the time this airs). But while John is open to the possibility that Will's alive, he's not 100% sold on that idea. So he thinks there's a chance that he's going to be explaining to Marlena that he dug up her grandson's corpse and took a little bit of it for lab testing. Paul definitely thinks he'll be having that talk with Sonny. I don't think the problem here is that the writing isn't black and white. I don't even have an issue with John disregarding Lucas and Sami's wishes. I just don't think anyone in their right mind would sign off on personally handling their loved one's long-dead corpse. If he and Paul had forged Lucas's signature or bribed someone else to dig Will up, that would still be a gray area and a lot more palatable than this.

Well I think you nailed it, they may actually have more info by then. Remember Kate apparently tells J&M and Roman what Clyde said on Thursday. And if Clyde was the one who told Ben Will was alive, I bet Clyde gave a fairly big piece of evidence proving Will isn't in there.

Right! And every conflict doesn't have to end with someone breaking up or moving on or whatever. Sometimes people and families just argue or disagree. That's part of why people get bored with happy couples. I love J&M but holding hands at the pub every day gets old.

We've talked about that a lot here too over the years- there had a been a huge lack of anyone ever objecting to anything in Salem. And if they were allowed to be mad, it would be for ten seconds.

I don't seek out every detail of stories in advance so I didn't know any of that. I certainly hope both John and Paul are going there assuming that they won't find Will, because otherwise, they should both consider seeking help.

I've been a Bricole fan for years, but I also like Ericole. I'm most upset this current regime destroyed Brady/Nicole's long-time friendship since no matter what, they stood by each other as BFF's.

AS ruined that whole promo. What was that last expression? So bad.
What are you talking about? I don't understand what part of the promo you mean? I've seen people make that expression before in real life. I've seen parents do it to there children, & girlfriends to there boyfriends, & so forth. It's the I'm waiting for an Anwar look. You stare at them & then you sort of move your head & make a facial expression & kind of make this movement with your eye's. Is that the part you were talking about?

I am 100% absolutely over and done with Brady Black! He's one of those characters that often annoys me but doesn't bother me really. Those Days are over! What a loony self obsessed butthurt sack of rotten bananas! He really needs a huge come to Jesus once this is over and he better grovel to Eric like Daniel loved a slammed door! I need Brady to beg, suffer and beg some more!

I gave up but the Ericole fanboy in me is in Heaven right now. Sadly, Nicole's very soon departure and Brady's very hurt butt are in my way as usual but I'm gonna enjoy every last single INCH of TIME we get between Eric and Nicole!

Well, that Bricole friendship was a Dena Higley invention that never made any sense. So, good riddance to it.

I do enjoy that she tries to make them a "thing" every time she is hired and then they are broken up every time she is fired.

I'm so over Brady too. I rarely liked him anyway. But now I just cant stand him. He's selfish, immature, spoiled and self righteous. Not too mention idiotic.

Is Brady really going to blackmail Nicole into staying with him?? I really hope Nicole doesn't put up with this crap. I don't want to see her cry. I want the old Nicole back.

I was trying to figure out a way to say this yesterday and was failing so I didn't post it. That second line you wrote is exactly how I feel.
