*sigh* I think I'm the only one here who LOVES Brady/Nicole. We all saw this coming, but it doesn't make it any easier to watch.
I've been a Bricole fan for years, but I also like Ericole. I'm most upset this current regime destroyed Brady/Nicole's long-time friendship since no matter what, they stood by each other as BFF's.
Well, that Bricole friendship was a Dena Higley invention that never made any sense. So, good riddance to it.

I do enjoy that she tries to make them a "thing" every time she is hired and then they are broken up every time she is fired.
Very true and sad....

Well I think you nailed it, they may actually have more info by then. Remember Kate apparently tells J&M and Roman what Clyde said on Thursday. And if Clyde was the one who told Ben Will was alive, I bet Clyde gave a fairly big piece of evidence proving Will isn't in there.
I don't seek out every detail of stories in advance so I didn't know any of that. I certainly hope both John and Paul are going there assuming that they won't find Will, because otherwise, they should both consider seeking help.
At the moment though Paul is team Will is really dead...

Except they did have a period prior to Dena where they were friends.

They were also friendly through Mar Dar and TomSell.

Yes, I know. That's why I hope something changes before these events air.

You can't blame Paul. This is his first "back from the dead" experience. Hearing about it and seeing it actually happen are two different things.

I don't think anyone blames him for thinking Will's dead. There's a big leap from that to grave digger, though, and digging up what you're sure is an empty grave is a lot more reasonable than going in thinking you're unearthing a body.

I don’t mind it either way, but I’m hoping Paul being there sets him up to be in conflict with her. She’s the last of the kids I’m interested in seeing hate him (it’s juat too easy) but the other 4 have disappointed me in that regard.

At no point has knowing things like that caused her to act rationally. Idk why she’d start with Paul.

Well I hope after all she has been through she'd have some growth but yes seeing her "dad " and step brother digging up her son's grave will piss her off at first but clearly she must calm down if she seeks comfort from her mom

I really think Sami catching them at the grave is just to give her a big entrance. Will's grave on Friday the 13th. It's soapy.

Same. I think it's just to give Sami a couple of juicy scenes right off the bat. Nobody will care in a few weeks that Paul and John tried to dig up the body.

Right. They all seem to pick up for Memphis as a 'family' LOL. Plus using John with Sami for that fits because they have such a crazy dynamic.

I think that was going to happen regardless because of his relationship with Wilson. The show has done nothing to connect Eric and Paul as family, so I don't think they're going to turn Sami's issues with Paul into this family drama either. Nobody seems to truly realize that Paul and Sami/Eric are step siblings. I hope it makes her feud with John.

Idk if they’ll be able to avoid the family aspect of it. It’s easy with Eric because their stories dont cross. But if John, Marlena, Sami, and Paul are sharing scenes it’s going to be really awkward if they avoid it.

It would be awkward, but some parts of the story have already been pretty awkward, so I'm not going to be surprised if that continues. For example, the scene where Marlena apologized to John for saying she wanted Will to be alive. Then there's the way some other stories have been handled. I'm enjoying the show more than I have in years, but I don't expect them to truly delve into what all of this means for the Blacks as a family.

I didn't think that was awkward. I didn't think it was a literal apology. It was a way for them to point out how complicated this is with the moving parts of family members and so John could say he loved Will too. That right there addressed the blacks as a family.

Yeah I didn’t think that was awkward or even what happened. Idk if they’ll jump into the Blacks as a family, but I hope they acknowledge those ties. That’s a layer that makes WilSonPaulSonHorita soapy.

I don't think it was a literal apology either, and I understand why they did it, but I don't think it was handled in the best way. Marlena would already know that John loved Will and that he wanted him to be alive too. As we all know, he helped raise Sami. He's been around for Will's entire life. That's basically his grandson. That line would've been a better fit for a recently blended family.

ETA: Yeah, we'll have to agree to disagree, because I thought that line was really weird. And yes, I think we all hope that they'll do something substantial with the familial aspects of the story. We'll see.

LOL yes agree to disagree. I think the John loves will line was for the audience's benefit. Not Marlena's. She even said she knew.
