Quoting limited to 3 levels deep
I think that's the thing, Casey was the leader of that group, the popular guy, and Freddie was the new guy who arrived later and he wasn't able to integrate himself, maybe he didn't really try and that's why Casey picked on him. Freddie was too serious while people like Casey didn't want to be serious at work. Maybe all of this is not true, I don't have first hand knowlegde of this but it wouldn't surprise me that those young actors were still behaving like in high school while they were on the show.
Freddie was good friends with Molly at one point. They're still good friends, I think. Or at least she is with his girlfriend.

Why did Scott's name get changed?
I don't remember a lot of details but Trish had left town and told David that she had left Timmy with someone who would take good care of him. After several months, David finally tracked Timmy down in LA, staying with Trish's mother. Trish was off in Europe. David took him back to Salem and renamed him then.
From the weekly synopses: 8/28/78-9/1/78: David wanted to change Timmy's name to Scott in honor of David's father. 9/4/78-9/8/78: Amy worked with David and cared for Scott, Timmy's new name. And from Matt's 11/78 Digest scan: Posted Image Paul Whitman and Marlena? Ironic but is that the name Marlena referred to as the man she was meeting out of town right before the pit story? Also funnny that Marlena called John mr. Whitmore when John broke out of his ankle monitor during the 2011 Halloween story. I wish I knew more about this story that is mentioned!

Paul Whitman and Marlena? Ironic but is that the name Marlena referred to as the man she was meeting out of town right before the pit story? Yes. We even saw Paul Whitman in a phone call that year, but it was a U/5, so never knew who played him. Peter MacLean, who would later play Grandpa Shawn briefly, was the original Dr. Whitman for the 1977-1978 storyline.

God I hope not! Paul is Will's step-uncle. Yes, they've already slept together, and it was before they knew Paul was John's son, but it just seems creepy to me now. I'm sure they have tons of scenes together which is why they're bonding, but I think it's even more telling that it's not Freddie he's hanging out the most with.
I don't think Chandler and Freddie are close because of stuff that happened years ago. I have heard that Casey Deidrick made Freddie's life miserable when he joined the show and Chandler was Casey's best friend. And then when Chandler got a lot more story and recognition than Freddie, there was an ego and jealousy issue. Maybe they are past all that now but I'm not sure. I think Freddie doesn't socialize with his castmates a lot regardless, he spends a lot of time alone in his dressing room. Wasn't there a tweet where CM was making fun of that Nerium crap or something? :blulaugh: I think it was after he left the show.

Yeah. It was for some anti aging thing FS and/or his girlfriend was trying to sell. CM posted a picture of him with "wrinkles" vs him as his usual self and claimed the product worked wonders. Or something along those lines anyway.

Picture this for part of the Memphis Storyline:
Anne accompanies Lucas down south where they're stuck in the rundown "Heartbreak Hotel" and sleep in separate beds where Anne is dreaming of kissing Lucas and wakes up kissing a Hissing cockroach, the Madagascar Hissing Cockroach would topple a regular sized roach motel like Godzilla would destroy a Japanese building!

I thought that was funny, especially when I think of all the crap FS is trying to sell his fans. Freddie even joined in and had fun with the tweet - I mean, seriously, it was about the 10-minute results from that Nerium junk. It was when some of his more.....let's say enthusiastic fans (some of whom had been targeted in the MLM scheme) started jumping all over CM that he deleted it. It wasn't mean-spirited at all.

That doesn't sound like he's in some brainwashing cult at all, nope! ^o) And I would know, I am an MLM and self-improvement survivor! These conventions can be very enticing and uplifting while you are there but I so despise these "lead by example and pave the way for others" and "be the change you want to see in the world." All good advice, but also marketing ploys that convince you the only way you can change is by ordering the products, "share" with your friends on social media and in person, wasting thousands of dollars going to all the feel-good conventions, recruit more people to come in under you (the only way you really make any money) and by only using the techniques and pathways they specify for "real success and fulfillment."
Good luck to Freddie if that's what he wants to do with his life, but I despise the fact that he (and Molly) cash in on their celebrity and prey on their fans to make themselves and their parent company rich.
