I missed some today.

What I didn't miss is mother-of-the-year-I-need-a-baby-more-than-anything-to-complete-me Nicole FORGETTING about her child while she was banging her fiancé's brother in the name of love.

Really, I was trying to go with it...it's nearing the end...and trying to see if I'd been wrong but nope.

Forgot her kid and then has her fiancé that she is cheating on watch her kid after she lies to him about where she is.

So thankful she is about gone.

Did love John calling Brady out on listening to Victor.
I only watched a little of Eric and Nicole today, I couldn't watch most
of the scenes. They only confirmed for me why I dislike both of them.
Well, I like him less today than I did before he chose to sleep with his brother's fiancé BUT I like him way more than Nicole because at least he hasn't jumped into 4 beds over the last 18 months proclaiming his undying love and devotion to each woman.

At least Eric has consistently loved Nicole. Why he loves her I will never understand. She must have a magic vajayjay.

I'm sorry but I will always hate Nicole and not even the hotness of Eric can change that for me. Nicole is a fickle bitch who changes guys like she changes shoes. No thanks.
Nicole is a fickle bitch who changes guys pretty much on the same rotation as most of the other female characters on this show. (or at least Gabi)
Yeah, I dislike Gabi, too.

And that interview would be why I'm only watching to see Ericole finish up. I can't stomach that version of Will and the whole show is set up to revolve around him. When I got home last week to find out the the show had been pre-empted on Will Reveal Day, I was RELIEVED that I didn't "have to" watch it.

I loved Will as a kid up through the Dylan Patton years. I enjoyed some of Guy Wilson's work. It breaks my heart to hate the version of Will preferred by Chandler and company... but I do, and so much that it makes the show as a whole a chore when there isn't something I really love (hi Ericole) to balance it out.
Actually in a way I'm dreading it too, but maybe what those interviews were referring to is the Will that Rolf let's out. This is a perfect case of the need for the story line to play out a bit because we have to think that Will is being drugged, held captive, having God knows what done to him during the last 2 years. So while the Will we are seeing now is Lucas' version of Will, it makes sense that Will won't be behaving this way, because for 1) the Will we are seeing is in Lucas' head, and 2) we are imagining that Will who has likely been brainwashed by Rolf will not be the Will that Lucas is imagining or that we are seeing.

Hopefully the Will we hate won't be around for long and there will be a good explanation to what we are seeing when we first see him alive, at least I hope there is...
I would have no problem with Real Will being angry/selfish as a result of whatever happened with his fake death. And Real Will shouldn't be precisely like the projection of Will in Lucas' head who would naturally be idealized and based on what Lucas' better nature is saying to Lucas.

But I don't think Will who is inherently a wise/sweet/loving person spinning off of torture is what's coming. I think it's just more of Will the self-centered ungrateful brat who lies and weeps to get his way: now with more justification!

So Nicole has been in love with 4 different men in the span of 1 1/2 😒🙄🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️😂😂😂 oh boy...
And every single one was her "twu wuv" at the time including Brady hours before this.

I get her being mad at Brady.

I get her wanting to sort through things with Eric.

I get all that.

But she is the most emotionally unstable woman on this show.
It happens when you've had a traumatic childhood, and had two of your children die.
Mine ain't so far off Nicole's but I'll spare all the gory details. She's over 40. Grow up time is now.

No one wants to watch a soap where everyone makes good decisions all the time. Well maybe some do, but not me.

Grown Up Nicole - no thanks that would be like watching Dannifer and Rope.

Of course not.

What is interesting about soaps is that usually there is something for everyone to both love and hate.

It doesn't make anyone more right or wrong than another.

A writer's job, IMO, is to illicit a reaction. To make you feel. Also an actor's job....

I may loathe Nicole but props to the character and the writer's for making me care one way or another.

Unlike, say, Claire where I don't care what she does, what she wears, who she dates, what her story line is....I don't care. I got nothing at all.

ETA:

And I care what happens to both Brady and Eric and even Chloe now to some extent because of Nicole's fuck ups.

I totally agree with this. All I really ask is three things:

1) Let the bad decisions be in-character bad decisions. And the corollary is that if it's something that seems out-of-character, then take the time to set the circumstances so the out-of-character action makes sense. For example, I don't believe that Kayla would ever shoot somebody. But, I also know that - if done right - the show could create a story and set-up that would cause Kayla to shoot somebody and I would understand why she did it, even if I thought it was a horrible action to take.

2) Don't have the bad decision be so bad that it's almost impossible to come back from - unless it's a villain that is supposed to do horrible things.

3) Don't skimp on the fallout/consequences. If somebody makes a bad decision then there should be fallout/consequence from it. It shouldn't be swept under the rug. That doesn't have to mean prison time (particularly in a place like Salem) but it does mean that the whole thing doesn't just get forgotten in 10 minutes.

But if it had started raining on them at the end, I'd have been bawling my eyes out.

John's exasperation with Brady today is giving me life. Worth watching the episode all on its own.

Plus it's a nice parallel to Kate's desperation with Lucas, since Lucas/Brady fell off the wagon and began their separate trips to crazytown together.

I'm really looking forward to seeing it later.

It's also nice that under this team John can question Brady's shitty judgement without Brady screaming at him to get out of his life.

Ghost Will is annoying me. Lucas asks him If that’s him and if he’s really there, and Will says, “What do you think?” What a smartass ghost

I’m not seeing any tears from AZ. Not one.

LOL that Sonny hung around after Kate left.

Sonny to Abby and Chad: “I came to see Kate. I was hoping she could help me find the truth about Will. She looked at me like I was crazy. You know what, maybe I am.”

Chad: “What’s going on? What do you want to see Kate for?”

Bumbling idiot, he just told you why he wanted to see her.

LOL! I was wondering why that storm has stalled over that farmhouse :blulaugh: Rain at a graveyard would’ve been good.

Forgot to mention that LK and BD were dynamic today. Lucas and Kate together like this just feels like "Dool Home" to me.
They really were on point today. I love that Kate's instinct was to refuse to talk to Clyde for Sonny, but she wanted to do it for Lucas without even telling him what "it" was. I love that Kate and Lucas brought up again how badly Kate handled things when Lucas first started to spiral, and that Kate now regrets it. I especially loved Kate saying that Lucas never believed in energy-of-the-universe theories before. This is the Kate and Lucas who used to feed the ducks in Central Park on her lunch hour when she was up-and-coming in the business world.

Best Kate scenes in probably five years.
