Eric does seem incredibly naive, almost like he's in a fantasy world.
I feel like it's poor writing for the character, but I guess you could make an argument that being at the farmhouse is a little bit like being in another world for him. Maybe he really doesn't realize what a big deal this is to Brady. Or maybe he just doesn't care anymore. I'd be fine if he didn't care anymore because of all he's been through, but I need some dialogue or SOMETHING to show me that. I'm on Eric's side in this, but I do see the weakness of how he is being written right now.

I agree, and I don't think Brady deserves any remorse, but I still think it's in character for Eric to be torn up about how this would affect him. Also it feels like Ron is setting up huge conflict between Marlena's offspring and John's offspring. (If done right it can be great, if done wrong it would make me HATE the show)

I thought Nicole was the same way. I think the s/l was so badly
written, leaving all three characters looking bad. But I think EM
is doing the best acting, really doing well.

I would love to have Marlena Evans tell me "I love you so much".

Brady is channeling Victor so much in this last scene.

Pretty good episode, I hate Brady right now but EM is the MVP of the show right now. AZ was kind of lackluster, and I needed Eric to show a bit more remorse. Not happy at all with John and Paul's decision, and again I'm reminded of how much I HATE that Paul is John's son. Sami was a sight for sore eyes and as long as she doesn't end up whining about EJ, or regressing too much, I think I'll enjoy her return. The stuff at the Police station was like background noise, I barely remember anything that took place.

Wow, Brady was vicious today. EM is doing a great job with this material. The next time Brady and Eric see one another should be interesting!

I agree that Eric seems like he is in a fantasy world. I am not seeing much guilt from him at all. I hate when GV slicks his hair back like that.

Overall, the whole episode was good. Brady/Nicole was definitely the highlight. Sami showing up at the end was great too.

I agree with the other person on here (sorry I don't remember who it was) that said that the old Nicole would have slipped in and grabbed the baby and left with Eric. I really don't like how meek she always is now. It's so annoying and not like Nicole at all. I haven't seen her with a martini in forever it feels like.
Totally agree! Real Nicole would have picked up Holly with a martini and bag in hand and said peace out without even telling anyone she was leaving. I miss badass Nicole. I might be in the minority, but I miss how much of a spitfire she was. I guess part of me had some grain of hope that she would have gotten her happy ending to a certain degree. Having her leave being miserable is just sad, irrespective of whether she deserves to leave that way or not. You would think a character who has been as tormented as she has (granted a lot of it was self-inflicted) would at least have been able to have more than two seconds of happiness before it was sabotaged. I mean, at least she got to have a child and one last hurrah with Eric, but I still can't help feeling disappointed in a lot of ways. :shame: :shame:

Well Brady is playing it exactly how I would expect Daniel to react to the situation.

Lets hope Kristen managed to convince Dr Rolf to resurrect Brady's dead heart and we can dig that Jonas heart out of him and put it back in him.
Did any female ever "leave" Daniel or was he always the one to do the leaving?

I can see him fainting dead away at being rejected.
Didn't Jennifer leave Daniel? Honestly, Dannifer was the most horrible pairing, but I think she was probably the one to say that she had had enough of him. I might be remembering wrong, so feel free to let me know if I've erred here.

The looks she was giving Paul and John. Paul looked scared when he saw Sami standing there.
lol He should be afraid, very afraid.
If he thinks he can take on Sami, he's got another thing coming. I just want to see Sami rip him limb from limb verbally. I'm trying really hard to put aside how Sami acted two years ago during her last return because it seems like this time it's actually all about her son and not her zombie husband, so one of Sami's trademark verbal lashings would go a LONG WAY to redeeming her in my eyes again.

I am not so sure who did the end result dumping, but they were a back & forth pairing, but at least Jennifer realized they had issues..... BUT Jennifer sainted Daniel like everyone else, even when she was angry with him it was because he was to kind, to trusting & to naive.

I'm thinking the same thing. Brady v. Eric could be really good if done right. I'm just not sure they will do it right.

My other thought is whether Brady will hate on Eric or whether he will play nice with ulterior motives.

Daniel broke up with Jennifer because she told Eric about shredgate and he wanted to tell Eric about shredgate. She was supposed to trust him to do the right thing even though he didn't do the right thing.

Who continued to be at the center of their misery? Nicole

So. I didn't enjoy this episode at all. There were some moments that were fine (Paul breaking down to John, Marlena's reactions to Eric and the mention of their birthday...that's it) but overall it was boring. I didn't enjoy Brady/Nicole even a tiny little bit. I don't feel bad for Eric or Nicole (though that could change next week), but Brady is just awful. I haven't thought he legitimately loved Nicole all along, but I think he sealed it today. If he had loved her like he claimed to, he'd have been more devastated and less vindictive. The cop stuff was dull. The Abby/JJ stuff was VERY dull. Sami popping up was meh because we've already seen it (and now we know every single thing she does next week).

Monday and Friday were terrible bookends for a good week.

I wasn't crazy about today. I'm sure the Bricole scenes add drama but the only thing I could think of was Brady really has become Deimos or Daniel, a verbally abusive boyfriend of Nicole's who will blackmail her to get what he wants. I hated seeing him be this mean and vindictive and just not act like cared.

I'm losing sympathy for Paul and I generally like him but him being that insistent didn't work for me. and when did John/Paul exhume Stefano's body?

The cliffhanger was fine but we'd already seen it so hopefully next week will be more interesting.
