Also, Marlena totally doesn't actually know what happened with Eric/Nicole. Eric left out some important details.

Other than the drunk driving when has Eric hurt Brady? Everyone knows Eric is,was, and always will be in love with Nicole. (Some people are just gluttons for punishment) So I don't find Brady totally blameless in this triangle. He knew Eric loved Nicole and played on that and Eric's guilt over Dr.Douchery to put Eric in Nicole's orbit. I honestly think Eric's character genuinely loves Nicole to Brady it's an infatuation she made him feel important for a minute cause Brady has some self esteem issues.

Another great episode. Brady's dialogue was just venomous and EM brought it today. And Sami's first scene back was really good. Can't wait to see all this tension in John and Marlena's family play out!

Paul drove me nuts today, I HATE that John let himself get talked into digging up Will grave, makes him look weak like he did most of the time while in a relationship with Kristen 1994-1997

Marlena pseudo tears. sigh. I think I like Deidre portrayal of Hattie is far better than I do
this stuff with Marlena kids, currently.

Brady ultimatum to Nicole WooHoo. Am I cold hearted??? Maybe but I was never snowed by this Nicole, Eric "love story" from the begin. Brady called Nicole out for exactly what she has been for most of her time on DAYS

Well lets see, the end, if there is not some serious tension between J&M soon, then the Marlena we saw today can't possibility be the real Marlena that John knew and loved 1993 haha

Too much Brady and Nicole in the first 9 minutes
Brady and Nicole were the highlight of the show for me today.
I really like Brady over the top.... seems a bit like the Brady of 2000 -2001
except his target then was John wife.

Paul can't believe they think will is alive
IMHO this is Christopher Sean weakest performance from the time he start on the show.
Maybe it is because the director wants him that way currently. But to me it seems like he
just doesn't honestly care.

John tells Paul to be patient. Paul says he can't compete with a ghost
Why do those words sound like a direct quote from 2002 when Marlena says to John

Marlena:
When somebody so loved dies, it was like living with a ghost. It is like that.
She has become more present and more real. Do you know that you and BRADY are
bring Isabella back to life.
John:
That is a messed up thing to say.

Marlena:
Well there we go, There we go, I am trying to explain to you how devastating
this is for me and you don't hear it. You realize of course that you have made her into
a saint, and I somehow have, I don't know become the sinner, and that really scares
the hell out of

As much as this is about Sami, Lucas, Paul, Sonny & Will
I think it has to be at least that much and more about John,
Marlena, Isabella Kristen & Brady (Eric & Nicole)

Why? Because that exactly where J&M became unhinged (John trying to
save Brady from Kristen for Isabella sake)
and we have yet to see a wedding to reunite them.

Which to me is ironic, because I've always thought Isabella was not a mentally stable person from the very start when Roman met her over the key Victor wanted from Steve and Mario before Steve could get his very pregnant "sweetness" back from whoever was holding her hostage. Supposedly it was Victor. But was that point ever proven in 1990???? I honestly don't remember.

Isabella 4 other appearances (that I have seen since then) 1995 possession, 1995 post Possesion, 2000 Brady return, 2002 Chloe Cancer. Have Not convinced me otherwise.

Marlena tells Eric she's heartbroken for Paul but has to wish Will is alive
Yeah Doc is all over the place with her emotions. There is a lot going
on, still in the past, but as recently as 2015 she was very anti Nicole.

After New Orleans 1998, while John was in Lugano with Hope, she
expressed a lot of displeasure with Eric seeing Nicole. I'm not really
trying to make a specific point about this, except to ask a question
Why has she suddenly become so reluctant to express her concern
with Eric? It feel very disingenuous coming from her.

Please forgive me if this has been discussed, but isn't it a felony for someone (family permission or not) to just dig up a grave with shovels? Wouldn't there need to be a police order, and wouldn't it be done with an actual grave digging device/backhoe by trained professionals? I mean, Will's coffin would be in a covered concrete vault with a lid weighing hundreds of pounds.

Just how are John and Paul going to accomplish this?

I know, I know... willing suspension of disbelief. But c'mon.
Digging up grave just reminds me of Kristen grave digging with Vivian and Ivan,
when her situation became so dire.when she sent Laura of the deep end with
pills and alcohol

Paul John doing it now just makes me laugh, So I hope the show really doesn't
except me to take this Sami, Lucas,Will, Sonny Paul stuff seriously

BECAUSE I DON'T

I honestly believe it's because she knows that Eric has no problem cutting his family off from his life. He basically did that the last time he and Nicole were together and Marlena tried her damndest to get him to see that Nicole wasn't good for him.

Because in 1998 Eric was a kid and now he's a grown ass man. A man who cuts himself off when things get tough. Like roman did.

And John and Marlena's emotions are going to be all over the place, they have a mess of kids in bad situations

So I think my biggest issue with this Brady stuff is that it's the end of a story...or it at least seems like it is. Maybe there will be something to help it, but at this point it seems like Brady is just going to get away with being an abusive asshole. If I thought a comeuppance or reveal were coming, I think I'd like it a little better. I think his road to where he is now has actually been relatively well developed, and there's a lot of room for character growth here...but not with Nicole leaving.

I also wish (and I guess it could happen, but it doesn't look that way) that Nicole would find a way to turn the tables on him as she leaves town. That's the kind of character she is, so it's kind of a bummer to have her leaving defeated.

I think the scriptwriter did a poor job with this episode.

I didn't enjoy Brady and Nicole at all. His revenge was so over the top. "I want you to break Eric's heart", I could almost here the evil laugh of a cartoon villain when he said that. Nicole taking his abuse was annoying, I wanted her to react more, maybe slap him, instead of begging. The whole thing was just uncomfortable to watch.

The Eric/Marlena scenes were odd. Eric was giddy and didn't seem to care that Brady just had his heart broken. Granted, Brady has been an ass and he already got the message from Nicole that he took it well but it was still weird that he didn't feel more guilt or empathy. And I was disappointed by Marlena's reaction. I don't know, the whole thing was underwhelming.

I thought the John/Paul scenes could have beeen better, it wasn't explained well how they came to the decision of digging up the body themselves. But I'm looking forward to Monday's episode and how they justify it to Sami.

I was happy to see JJ because he's cutie but didn't care much about his scenes with Abby/Thomas and Lani/Hope. I liked Hope's little speech that she had to be tougher with him because he's family. But considered her recent history, it's laughable.

Eric Martsolf this week has been proving why he deserved his Emmy win. With all that Brady has been through the past several years- losing Ariana & Madison to death, and losing Kristen and Theresa to lies and deception. It makes sense he would be jaded and start to go down this dark path. Plus Brady has been living with Victor for years, it makes sense for him to become like him. Loved the Brady and Nicole scenes.

Rest of the show was okay, kind of just filler for Sami to show up. But so glad she’s back.

And I have to say I’m so excited for this upcoming JJ police shooting storyline. If that’s indeed what happened. It will give JJ, Lani, Hope, Jennifer, Theo, Claire, Abe, and Valerie some great material. Plus Chad and Abby will be pitted against each other!! It has the makings of a huge unbrella storyline.

Yes. That's why I'm not in hurry to see Brady redeemed. This is the first time in the almost 10 years he's been around that I've found myself impressed by EM's performances.

Either the show can redeem Brady or they can keep him dark. He could become the new EJ.
But they really need to settle Brady down with one final love interest. He needs a love to balance his darkness but someone who is a staple on the canvas and has the staying power to be with him. No more drive thru love interests for Brady. I think there could be a good storyline if the somehow reconnect him with Chloe, revisit their past. But, I do not want to see Brady the hero complex love interest type anymore. I don't want him to rescue a woman or to become their defender. I want the woman to call him out on his shit and for them to be the defender of him. It amazing that EM's Brady has been on this show for nearly 10yrs and he doesn't have one constant love interest that her continues to go back to. I think that speaks more to what is wrong with the show than the charcter.

Oh Kristen is getting so close! It is palpable already :P

One of Kristen's main theme music pieces was played during the scene with Marlena, John, Kate and Roman, and Brady has mentioned her two days in a row now. :P
