Quoting limited to 3 levels deep
I just rewatched the scenes in the courtroom when Nicole explained why she had married Lucas - there were definite similarities in Eric being possessive and pushy.
Interesting, I hadn't re-watched those old scenes, but I was definitely remembering that Jensen-Eric had acted similarly back then.
Anyone want to PM me a link to those scenes.

This would have been a great episode if instead of the Bonnie drama, we got to see John and Marlena talk! I don't get it. Someone mentioned their scenes got cut but are we sure about that? I didn't see the spoiler saying they were supposed to be in this episode. But either way, they definitely should have been.

Loved the Ericole scenes, it was painful to watch but I'm so happy that Nicole leaves the show in love with Eric (and possibly pregnant). I never would have expected that a few months ago, I was so sure she would leave Salem still crying about her "true love" Daniel and the best that could have happened with Ericole was her forgiving him. Thank you Ron for fixing this and giving them the supercouple writing they deserved! Greg V was really good in this episode, my heart broke a couple of times because of him. I hope this is the end of the chapter and we'll get more Ericole again one day.

I enjoyed the PaulSon scenes. I like that the writers spent a lot of time on Paul's point of view in this storyline. I don't know if it will change but it gives me hope that maybe he's the character we are supposed to root for in the love triangle, not Will. Christopher was really good in those scenes.

I thought the Lucas/Sami scenes were good but I don't know, I didn't care as much as I expected.

The flashback at the morgue seemed unnecessary to me unless they wanted to "fix" Sami's reaction. 2 years ago, she looked cold, angry and numb. Ali played the scene differently this time.

If John and Marlena had a talk about their respective kids, that is something that we should have seen given everything that is going on with all of them and John & Marlena in the middle of it! :shame:

It was in Voldemort and was definitely for this episode. I agree it would have fit since all of the kids who were on also discussed them.

The only thing I can think of is it was some exposition talking about the grave and the Eric/Brady situation so they thought it was cutable. It probably would have aired if J&M had actually argued or something but I'd have liked to see them discuss it as parents hurting for their children's situations

I don't like that they changed the original scenes tbh.

And that was incredibly long! They could have cut this and air some of the John/Marlena talk.

I think they could have done without re-doing the original morgue scenes... unless they just wanted to drive home Chandler as Will!

I thought we were supposed to see re-shot strangulation scenes? Perhaps those will come later when Will is found, but I thought they were going to be from Ben's POV.

I'm not sure what Chandler said in that interview anymore, can someone find it again? We all understood that he was talking about the murder scene and that would mean we would see Rob Wilson again. But maybe he said "death scene" and that really meant "morgue scene".

By the way, the constant interruptions are a big problem and I don't think they are going to stop. Someone needs to think of better solutions to face that. The show doesn't air on POP anymore. I think sometimes they put the episode on CoziTV or re-air it at night on NBC but are viewers even aware of that? If there was a regular rebroadcast it might be easier. I bet a lot of viewers don't make the effort to find the episodes online when they get interrupted. Maybe they would if they could just watch the portion that was interrupted on facebook instead of the complete episode with commercials on nbc.com

Ok so I have some unexpected free time this morning so this may be lengthy on the state of the current big stories.

Eric/Nicole/Brady. Eric yelling Nicole at the end of the episode was really heartbreaking. I'm really struggling with this ending for all thre characters involved. We have Nicole broken. We have Eric and Nicole's romance demolished. Brady and Nicole's friendship in shambles. Brady and Eric's relationship was basically lit on fire and left to burn. And what happens now? If Nicole really doesn't come back, this was a crushing ending for Ericole. Do the brothers just make peace after they fight and that's it?

Paul and Sonny. I'm noticing a continuing pattern of Sonny getting zero focus. Not a big complaint but it's a weird choice. We've seen way more about Paul and Will's family than we have Sonny. Which is odd to me since the main love interest typically gets that focus. I'm starting to think they really do test Will and Paul for a while.

Search for Will. I loved how they used Ben and Marlena and Kate and Clyde and John's history with Rolf to propel the search forward. I flat out love how basically everyone is like well look what Rolf did to John as proof enough this could be true. Likely adding Kristen/Susan into the mix next month has me super excited too.

Bonnie. I had been 'Team Justin just wants to believe that's Adrienne' for a while now but I'm done with that now. I need him to get to the bottom of this yesterday. And I get J&M had a much different set of circumstances but this just plays silly after how John caught on. I do, however, live for how Bonnie hates Hattie.

The Titan stuff- Victor still hasn't made a decision and eve is back soon, supposedly with a secret and Kiriakas connections. I wonder if that's connected.

Oh one last thing. Lumi. Sami hasn't been Sami to me yet but I did feel a little old school Lumi yesterday and that made me smile.

This Bonnie storyline makes NO sense.

How in the hell does Maggie not recognize that this is Bonnie and not Adrienne? And why hasn't the fact that Bonnie and Adrienne look identical not been addressed? Why haven't we gotten the scene of Adrienne flashing the guard in prison we were promised?

Every single beat in this story has been missed. I'm glad we're almost to the end of it.
The whole thing doesn’t work for me because everyone seems to have collective amnesia about Bonnie except Bonnie.
I think there were certain things that needed to be addressed and explained up front to make the story work, and they weren't.

This is very strange for Ron Carlivati. Throughout all the years I watched his One Life To Live, I never felt that way about any story, even the few I didn't care for.

I'll be glad if CM only meant the morgue scenes. RSW and even GW was great in the Will death scenes and they were so well done that I don't think they could be replicated so easily. :)

Well if anyone bought Victor's great love for Adrienne they're either too stupid for words or blind. Vic looked about as much in love as I look like a supermodel ... trust me, there's no resemblance LOL! I just can't wait for Bonnie to be outed and it's her greed that is going to push that along so go at girl. The more you show your money-grubbing instincts, the quicker your downfall.

Loved the Sami and Lucas scenes. I'm hoping that she is the one that helps him see that he needs to be sober right now while they try to untangle the mystery of Will's 'death'.

The Nicole / Eric scenes were hard to watch. Eric was totally blindsided by Nicole. I honestly wish they hadn't gone this route. Now Nicole is going to leave town and leave a huge mess behind her. It's going to take years for Eric and Brady to have any kind of sibling relationship again. Mind you they haven't really had one for years. It's obvious that Brady still blames Eric for sleeping with Kristen when everyone knows he was blameless. However once Eric has some time to reflect he's going to figure out that Brady is the reason Nicole left town ... he won't know how Brady made it happen but I suspect he'll know Brady is behind it.

Well, GV is just so pretty when he cries! Thought he did a great job in these scenes. What a contrast to AS and Sami's scrunchy-faced non-crying. I wish I cared more about Ericole, but since I've been watching Nicole be weepy, pathetic and helpless for basically two years now, I didn't feel much for her.
