Personally I can understand why Paul would keep seeing Will a secret. The last few weeks, he has been on a mission to prove that Will is dead, so he and Sonny and apparently the rest of the town can move on. On top of the fact that if it is true he could lose Sonny, so my guess is that when he does he probably goes into shock and panics, and his first instinct is to keep it a secret. But knowing Paul it won't stay a secret for long.....

:wine: Done.
I don't think I've ever known any tv character need so much rescuing.
Oh yes, Kayla between 1986-1990 without a doubt, Steve was kept very, very busy.
Really? Let's take a look back.

Kayla returned to Salem in May of 1986. Steve did come to her rescue during a couple of incidents at the community center, but she also rescued him after he was beaten on the pier, and after he was knifed by Warner at the end of the Stockholm story. In between, they were kidnapped, trapped in a storm drain, and rescued Marlena. In those cases, Kayla was generally only in danger because of Steve and she was an equal participant in their rescue/survival.

After Stockholm, Kayla saved Steve from shooting Duke, helped save him from going to prison for Duke's murder, and saved him when he was on the run for shooting Harper multiple times. After Steve broke up with her to save Jack's life, he did rescue her from Harper's poisoning which was awesome. He also rescued her from Jack after the rape and from the fire after Harper tried to kill her. I'll give you 1988 as a year that Kayla seemed to be in trouble a lot - albeit mostly as a consequence of things Steve had done, but nonetheless ...

In 1989, he rescued her and Benjy, she rescued him from the crazy magician. They both rescued each other during the weird ISA/KKK storyline. And yeah, Steve (and Jack) got her back when Victor kidnapped her to get the key (which again, was directly related to Steve's past).

Then after going to prison for a crime she didn't commit, Kayla broke herself out of prison, figured out Sheila had taken Stephanie to Australia, and managed to get word to Steve and plane tickets to Australia. She also found Sheila and Stephane while in Australia.

So, yeah, in good 80's supercouple fashion, Kayla had her fair share of being rescued. But she also did a lot of rescuing herself. I've yet to see Gabi rescue anybody.

Definite improvement over his Zorro costume last year.
I didn't even notice Abby was in costume.
I like her costume.
It is neither floral or skin toned so it is pretty much the best thing she's worn on the show.

Tuesday, October 31st:
Chad and Abigail learn Ben escaped once again.
Is Ben becoming the Heather Webber of DAYS? Soon he'll come and go as he pleases.
:) at least Ben shakes things up when he pops in!
BEN has ALWAYS been intended to really shake things up in Salem. I thought that from the
very beginning when BF (who I care nothing for) Katie Mansi and Robert Scott Wilson began.
I think and hope what we have seen so far is JUST THE TIP of the iceberg.

It's my impression HW have been very loosely taking some cues from some of what Jack did to Diana and Roman after the Island in 1988. (pre Emily and Gideon in the deep south and the Marcus racial tensions story) It goes back to what was happening with the red and green lighting while Ben was killing his victims. Does it mean anything? I don't really know, but my gut says there is strong possibility.

The problem I have with the Will story is there are a lot of loose ends. I don’t think there will be any real follow through as I think it was a means to lure AS back JMO.
I don't think it was mean, It typical days in the last 10 years
Big headliner's with ABSOLUTELY NO PAYOFF or things that take years to show.
I care nothing for Sami, but this is NOT the way you write a successful soap.
Days needs to go back to the 1980's pick up the pace and focus of their stories

Of course they had to rush Justin/Adrienne....grrr. So not surprised. It’s so damn annoying. I guess once they are reunited, I can take this show off my DVR. Sorry Ron, but this pisses me off. Can’t get one decent reunion with these two. Rush, rush, rush...so over it.
I get so tired of new writers or even promoted writers giving interviews where they rave about the history of a
show and what a treasure trove it is to them. Then they turn around write a hollow version that is somewhat
reminiscent of those time but not really and applaud themselves on the back. Its not hard to replicate an
ambiance or an essence, its quite simple actually. Yes it may take a creator of the show or someone close
associated with it the original run to make that effect possible. Take the recent revamp of W&G, Gilmore Girls
or Fuller House. Those shows have their original casts and original show runners/creators and are virtually the
same, only a continuation.

True, Bill Bell, James Reilly and Corday Srs. are gone but these people have access to the scripts and tapes and
majority of the actors, what is the major problem and disconnect? I know the budget is on empty but back in the
day, the shows pulled big audiences on lesser than what they have now. The stories are important and I'm sorry
DAYS is just not cutting it lately and I'm surprised at RC. It should be better and I want it to be. There are some
good changes but some stuff is too annoying. Where are the offices of Titan, DiMera and Countess Wilhelmina? Not
the living rooms of the family estates. Where are the homes of Steve & Kayla, John & Marlena, Abe, Gabi, Sheila, Chloe
and Julie & Doug? If I have to see that redressed blue office one more time as EVERY SINGLE PUBLIC SERVICE OFFICE
in or out of SALEM, I am going to scream. There has to be money somewhere? Somewhere for new sets? Sony/NBC/Corday
Productions please?

The problem isn't just the cost of building new sets. In fact, I'd bet that they have all of those sets in some form. The cost comes into play with taking down and setting up sets. If they film in one set one day and want to use another the next, then the crew has to work late to take down the one and put the other up. I'm not sure how many sets they have up at one time, but I think it's 3 or 4. So, they could switch sets everyday, but it's going to cost significant money in crew time.

But, if they have three or four sets up and use them for pretty much everything, then there is a much lower cost in simply redressing them. I think they could do a better job, with less of a blow to the budget, in redressing some of the sets, but ultimately the Brady Pub is the going to be the place for all conversations involving S&K and J&M because it's a whole lot cheaper than putting up other sets for a couple of scenes.

This is legit why I would have 3 day arch where a huge furniture sale happened in Salem and every couple in Salem bought the same bedroom set. How weird? Right? Maybe they could squabble over it and everybody will agree to get something different but then get the one the originally picked because hey the other couple changed their mind.

Then you have a plot excuse for all the furniture to be the same in a generic looking bedroom and you can swap out a bedspread and the family photos/nicknacks bing, bang, boom everybody gets a bedroom.

That is certainly understandable then to solve that
problem, if I were the headwriter, I would begin
to tailor make the show towards those sets that I
wanted. If it meant that a majority of the action had
to take place in the Titan Office Set for a week's worth
of taping, then I'd thrust a majority of the action daily
on that particular set. There are ways around the issue
to feature certain sets, I can understand exactly what
you're saying.

Even juggling in guarantees, if they are on for 2 episodes a
week, why couldn't their home sets function for 3 of those
episodes if their children use a possible 3rd or maybe 4th
day with the set. There are very creative ways, I'm sure it
all simply depends on the desire for quality but it's up to
the producers and writers, ultimately. I just feel that compared
to the other soaps, DAYS could out pace them in story and
unique use of lighting and sets.

Ah so we get the ghost of Rolf, too?
Or, more likely, Rolf's death "didn't take".
