Too much buildup and long term anticipation is what leads to big letdowns. Constant speculation adds to letdown, when whatever we finally see just cannot live up to the expectations.
And they HAVE tightened up the spoiling info.
It's not just the leaks and the speculations, it's what's airing and the official spoilers for the next few episodes that I find disappointing.

I feel like the Will story had a lot of momentum with the double wedding but we have lost it now. The last time I was really into it was when Kate visited Clyde. The show has been too much focused on Nicole and Bonnie since. I thought Sami's return would help give the Will story more energy again but it's doing the opposite. Now we have to watch her be angry at John, talk about EJ and kissing Chad, she is injecting her side-stories into the Will story. Hopefully, it gets better when the gang arrives in Memphis.

I think Ron's plan is to have Sami interact with every person he can while Ali is there.

I don't think it is unreasonable for Sami to be angry with John for sneaking into the cemetary and planning to dig up her son's grave, and it makes sense for her to talk about her search for EJ, because that's what she's been doing for two years, and it makes sense that if she thinks Rolf is involved, she would go question the remaining DiMeras.

Now I agree that the momentum has been lost. I blame that on writing and editing, and also on the other stories, most specifically the Bonnie mess. When those scenes air, they are so campy that they destroy the urgency of the Hunt for Will.

You know, I think part of the problem this week was that they really wanted that gravedigging to happen on Friday the 13th. But then it didn’t actually go anywhere. I don’t blame Sami for being mad at all but I didn’t think she even really was...meanwhile i think an in character Sami would’ve brought her own shovel anyway. The way it played out was dull and I think It is a big part of the reason the momentum for that particular story fell.

There's nothing fun about the Bonnie story -- it's mind-numbing and stupid.

the middle of the story has just been stupid, the conclusion might be fun just to see her get busted and to see what happens between Adrienne/Justin because of it.

Those scenes are written in such a ridiculously campy way that they destroy the continuity of the life and death discussions about Will.

Come on Ron, We are counting on YOU !!

You know it even feels like they purposely planned on downplaying this week in anticipation of Memphis...but damn....it's really do the point that we have lost all the momentum that we had going into this story right after the wedding....

It feels that way to me too. No mention of what's going on in Memphis the next week too and I'm pretty sure it'll play heavily. Maybe the next edition covers it in detail.

I think it's more that they are dragging their feet about whether Will is alive or dead that is destroying the momentum of the Will story. Now that Sami has information about Rolf she should be getting a court order to have that grave dug up, not visiting Chad or sitting by that grave and wondering whether her son's body is there or not. The Bonnie/Adrienne story doesn't hurt Will's story for me, even the silliness of Bonnie's fantasies are still balanced by Bonnie opening up about why she wants revenge against Maggie, at Mickey's grave.

I have mixed feelings when it comes to Eve's return. I love KDP, but I don't know what they can really do with the character full time. I liked Eve and Justin, but in interviews, Ron kinda implied that J/A were gonna reunite. I guess I think that we don't really need more characters in that age range. I guess Eric and Eve will do. Kassie and Eric had decent chemistry in their scenes before.

I agree that Sami should be wanting to dig up Will' s grave ASAP. Why just sit around and wonder? They would have the answer they are looking for by looking. It's irritating! Seeing an empty grave would really amp up the story.

I also agree that they should show the audience where Will is. Just a glimpse would be enough for now.
