No, that was Ron who had Tripp holding a knife to Kayla and Joey.

I didn’t think the Sami and Abby scenes were as bad as everyone is saying. I stopped comparing MM to KM and it helps me to not be as annoyed with her. I know for some, it’s too jarring, but I have not been as annoyed with her lately. My dislike of Marci in this role has nothing to do with KM. Her portrayal is limited to either stiff expressions or giggly, that’s all I get from her. Honestly, she just isn’t suited for a role where the character is meant to standout, it’s just not realistic.
I think AS was a bit more toned down than usual and somehow MM still couldn’t do more than stare blankly. My biggest issue is there’s just no connecting her to the history of Abby. I don’t buy that she ever had an affair with EJ, went after Austin at some point, fought with Ben and won; she’s so far removed from all of that material. I wouldn’t mind it as much if the show didn’t so obviously want her to be lead when her screen prescene just isn’t up for the task.

To finish out a story that had already started and move on to the stuff he actually wanted to do. So Ron gave Kayla the voice that Dena didn't but he couldn't be bothered with the rest? If you don't want to devote the time then don't have Tripp hold a knife to Kayla. Don't break up Steve and Kayla. He's handled it terribly. Much like a lot of the show.

I don't dislike MM because I'm comparing her to KM. My brain functions a little better than that. I think she's a bad actress. I didn't like everything KM did either. I was only speaking for myself when I said that.

Ron made it clear he didn't have any interest in writing for them. That is why he didn't touch it like he did the Anjelica and Deimos stuff.

^I'm just saying I'm not convinced the blame is on Dena.

^I'm just saying I'm not convinced the blame is on Dena. Regardless of anything, he chose to let it air, not fix it, and not do more. Absolutely. But you asked why he did all those specific things, and he didn't. It was already planned, and he chose not to change it.

The background music on this show is terribly distracting. It was so loud in the Steve and Hattie scene that it took me out of the scenes. I'm so over Hatties OTT mannerisms. SN is such a good actor. Too bad he's been dragged into this ridiculous storyline.
The Kayla/Tripp scene at the end was sweet but why does Kayla have to be in a hurry to make peace with Tripp? Just strip all the drama out of these stories. Kayla has to reach out but how about Tripp working to earn his way back to her. Donating dirty money isn't enough. Why did Ron damage the relationship so bad with Tripp holding a knife to Kayla only to dedicate a few scenes to them making nice. He did the same with breaking up Steve and Kayla. It's all so badly handled.
"Andre wait?" Did Abby say something because I barely could tell with her monotone voice.
I just have zero interest in Sami
Because Ron didn't do it. Dena did. Ron just didn't stop it or change it. Maybe. But his scripts had started well before the scalpel scene. Maybe that was in Dena's post-its, I don't know. But once his name went on the script, he took responsibility for it whether it was his idea, her idea, or somewhere in between. So yeah, he doesn't get a pass on it from me.

It's not about giving him a pass. That's why I said he didn't change it when he could have like he did other things. But if what's being asked is why he did this, this, and this...the answer is...he didn't.

There was a Mimi scenes years ago. I can't remember the context at all. FF (was terrible) was typically pretty animated, but in this particular scene she said, "I'm so excited" and she said it in the most deadpan, dull voice she'd ever used. I don't think it was meant to be sarcastic either. It was really weird. Anyway, that's how Marci speaks every single line. The difference with Farah and Marci is that at least FF had onscreen presence - good or bad. Even as a Farah/Mimi fan, I can agree that some of her scenes were poorly acted but she was a decent actress (in my opinion) and very expressive with her eyes. Whereas with Marci, it comes out pretty dull most of the times. I hope it changes soon because I really like Marci.
Do you remember the date of the scene you’re talking about?
Thoughts on today’s episode: It was okay. I don’t have much to say. It’s kind of been a slow week and I think things in Salem needs to be shaken up. Too much talk and no action. Lol

You think Dena gave Kayla that voice? It felt like a rewrite to me when Kayla voiced her anger at Steve for not considering her when bringing Tripp to Salem. So Ron wrote those arguments yet he then decides to wrap it up in a couple of episodes. That's all on him.
