BRAD BUFANDA IN LOVING MEMORY MAY 4, 1983-NOVEMBER 1, 2017 Posted Image Brad Bufanda, who appeared in multiple guest roles on "Days of Our Lives" in the early 2000's, died on Wednesday, November 1. He was 34. Bufanda's most significant role on "Days" was in 2002, as Joe, one of the gang members who threatened Cassie and Rex when they first arrived in Salem. Variety Article: Brad Bufanda, known for his role on “Veronica Mars,” died by suicide on Wednesday, Variety has confirmed. He was 34. According to Lt. David Smith of the Los Angeles County coroner’s office, Bufanda died of traumatic injuries due to suicide after jumping off a building in the 300 block of Fuller Avenue. Smith said there was a note. Bufanda’s manager Kirsten Solem also confirmed the death. “We are completely devastated for he was an extremely talented young actor and wonderful, caring human being,” Solem said in a statement. “He was reviving his career, having just completed two movies, and we are shocked and saddened by his passing. The family would appreciate privacy at this difficult time.” Born Fred Joseph Bufanda III in California, the actor legally changed his name in 2001. After high school, he moved to Los Angeles to pursue a film career. He had a recurring role as Felix Toombs on the first two seasons of “Veronica Mars” alongside Kristen Bell, and appeared on TV shows including “Malcolm in the Middle,” “CSI: Miami,” “Rosanne,” “Even Stevens,” and “Days of Our Lives.” Bufanda was also in the 2004 film “A Cinderella Story,” starring Hilary Duff and Chad Michael Murray. Bufanda also trained as a professional basketball player, but returned to Hollywood after sustaining an injury. Not a surprise, but it's good to see confirmation. Now, let's hope there is an interesting story for these guys. I want to see Will be the schemer in this story, and I'm pretty sure that's where we are headed. |
