I love Mary Beth Evans, but I'm hoping for a Judi Evans win, but will JE be slighted like KDP was?

I can only speak to the Days noms, but as usual, I'm scratching my head at some of these.

• Judi as lead is...interesting. Technically, all you need to do to qualify for lead is be the "leading" actor in the scenes you submit, and she definitely had scenes where she would qualify as such. But still, I really think they need to change the guidelines because Judi being a lead overall for the past year is illogical.

• Mary Beth likely submitted some of the Joey stuff, which is really probably the only scenes she had to pick from in terms of Emmy-bait. She also wasn't really a lead this last year, but she was more of a lead overall than Judi, IMO.

• Marci's in the right category, no question. I don't really have anything else to say.

• How did Days get so many pre-noms for lead actor? Lead actor is category where Days has struggled the most over the years.

• How was Ari a supporting actress? And as much as I like Eileen, I don't know how I feel about her submitting for such a limited arc.

• What did Paige Searcy submit? She was gone by mid-January last year. :blulaugh:

• Casey was the only one in the Days younger category with material deserving of a nom.

Why's that goofball Galen in the running? I'd give it to JR, but wouldn't mind it going to SN!

Glad to see that some of these people are in the mix, disappointed that others are not. It will be more interested to see who is actually nominated on March 21.

I think the people from Days with the best chance in each category are Judi Evans, Eric Martsolf, Eileen Davidson, Chandler Massey, Paige Searcy, Casey Moss.

From the other soaps: Maura West, Scott Clifton, Camryn Grimes, James Patrick Stuart, Chloe Lanier, Pierson Fodé.

This is the first time DAYS has ever had the most prenominations out of all the soaps...there is clear support out there for them this year.

They are only prenoms, but most of the Days ones would have me scratching my head, either because of the amount of material or because of the acting quality. IMO Greg Vaughn's and Casey Moss's are the most appropriate. Victoria maybe next year.

Yep. Days is likely going to do very well. None of the soaps had standout years so this may be a year where they rack up a good amount of nods and wins. They already led pre nominations.

Come on Ron, We are counting on YOU !!

GG in the running and no BD? I thought BD has some good material to submit, not all of it was wonderful throughout the entire story but the stuff at the church was good I thought.

AZ didn't have anything worth her while this time but somehow she got a prenom. NB had to scrape something together to be able to submit cause I can't remember anything worth her while either.

Oh well, I continue to think that the Emmy's are a total and complete joke.

The younger actor/actress pre-noms are who ever submits, they do not submit reels...so you really have to look at the other categories to determine where the support is for these shows during the voting rounds.

Taking out younger actress/actor...the following is the tally

DAYS - 20 to 14
GH - 17 to 12
Y&R - 15 to 11
B&B - 9 to 4

So DAYS is still leading, but GH/Y&R are more competitive and actually closer to DAYS then it originally appears (GH goes from 3 to 2 vs DAYS, Y&R goes from 5 to 3 vs DAYS). B&B is even less supported than what we thought, as the majority of their 9 pre-noms come from the younger categories.

B&B got obliterated, their performers either had disastrous clip reels or support for B&B fell of a cliff and went somewhere else (this could be the Y&R panels support shifting to DAYS vs supporting B&B, as has happened in other years).
