I think pre-noms are pointless, but still gonna weigh in, lol... It's cool to see so many Days actors on the list, but I'm once again scratching my head at what categories some of these actors fall into. Judi and James Reynolds as Lead? They had good material, but they were hardly leading roles. I'm also shocked to Galen on the list. The only two things I remember him doing last year were screwing Sami and getting on my nerves. Also, it's weird to see Eric in the Lead category but Greg, Nadia, and Ari are all in Supporting. I think all four of them could easily have submitted for Lead. Two great surprises were seeing Chandler in Supporting instead of Younger Actor and Eileen pre-nominated in two different categories! |

I think most of Chandler's stuff aired after he turned 27. The cut-off for younger actor is 26. |

I am also surprised Steve Burton submitted in supporting and Michael Eaton submitted as a lead. |

25, I think. If they turn 26 during the eligibility year, they only can submit material that aired when they were 25. |

I am really happy for Marci. I seriously doubt she’ll make the final cut in Lead, but to get that far in her first full year is an accomplishment. I hope Eric Martsolf gets a nomination in Lead and Greg in Supporting. Of course Casey in Younger. I would love to see Sharon Case get a Lead nomination but not sure she has the material. |

There are some that are hard to take seriously, but this one is at the top. |

ED pre-nominated for both lead and supporting! Yes! Although, selfishly, part of me wants her to lose lead actress just so I can continue to say that Days is the only soap that ever gave her an Emmy, LoL. |

Some of these are laughable. I'm most optimistic about Casey Moss for younger actor. That category (IMO) has been a bit of a joke in recent years. I hope he does well. I'm also happy for Eileen in supporting actress. |

I would love to see Camryn Grimes win Supporting Actress. She's been awesome. I've always loved Liz Hendrickson too, but I didn't see her most recent work. |

The real crime is Galen being nominated and Bryan D. being snubbed. |

Any younger actor who submits gets a pre-nom. So, James' nomination just means that he submitted. LOL. |

There's no voting for younger actor categories. Everyone who submits gets a pre-nom. |

I'm here for Camryn Grimes and Marla Adams for Y&R. They were both amazing. I watch Y&R every day. I haven't watched Days much in the past year. Re: Days: I did watch the Susan/Will scenes and Eileen Davidson was very moving as Susan. But Camryn and Marla on Y&R ... Just amazing. Marla overall consistently every day! Camryn in the scenes where Mariah comes out to Sharon, and also the same week (or same episode) when Mariah told Tessa she had romantic feelings for her, but Tessa rejected her. In Mariah's scenes, I was feeling it all as if it was real. I want them both (Marla and Camryn) to win! LOL. They've changed the writing for Eileen Davidson's role as Ashley on Y&R. Her character is written with more fire now -- maybe ED could win as a lead next year for whatever Ashley does in 2018. Edited by nananana7, Jan 25 2018, 03:57 PM.
