Cait Fairbanks' reel for her "younger actress" nomination.
Yeah. This reel was submitted for Cait,
but it's all about Camryn Grimes.

Dear god, I'm crying so hard, I can hardly type. And I watched these scenes over and over when they first aired.

Camryn just slays me, breaks my heart, turns me inside out and all around.

Still sobbing.

Camryn probably submitted scenes with Cait and Sharon. Can't wait to watch her reel.

My choices would be:
#1 Chloe Lanier
#2 Reign Edwards
#3 Olivia Rose Keagan
#4 Haley Erin
#5 Cait Fairbanks

Based on those reels, I think Chloe and ORK are the only ones deserving. Everyone else was very weak.

Good gracious, most of these are long.

Okay, Hudson West was by far my favorite. I haven't watched GH in a long time, but he's a good actor and can really convey the pain Jake is feeling without uttering words. He plays really well opposite Billy Miller.

So far I'm not a fan of the reels that have been submitted by the Days nominees. Casey could have cut his down by a few minutes as some of it wasn't necessary IMO or he could have included some other scenes. I actually don't think he included his best stuff. Lucas Adams' reel was a mess.

Rome Flynn was fine I guess, I just didn't feel that much from it.

I like Tristan Lake Leabu a lot, but his is so short it's hard to compare. I wish he included a couple more scenes. I know there was more he could have included.

I think Hudson had the best reel. Even better than Casey's. As a DAYS fan, I want Casey to win. But watching the scenes over again, I'm not that impressed as I was, playing it back in my mind. I don't think the other actors even come close in their reels.

Because of the body of work he did, I want Casey to win. However, all anyone will see is this reel, so I don't know. I thought of Casey as the favorite, but now I am not so sure.

Given the reels, I say Hudson should win, but I am still pulling for Casey.

Yikes....

Casey Moss - This reel was ROUGH. Casey isn't rough. The reel is. He got nominated despite his reel. I don't really remember many specifics of what I liked him doing during this story, but this choppy reel was definitely not representative of the work he put in.

Hudson West - I thought he was really good, and I love it when an actual "young" actor breaks into these categories and actually has a strong reel. His reel was backwards, too I think. So strange.

Lucas Adams - Listen. He puts in decent enough work, but I just find him so dull. And I'm pretty sure he has way better examples of his work than these particular scenes. His reel is put together better than Casey's, but it's super weird that one of his episodes is split in half at the beginning of the reel and then later at the end of the reel. He also really didn't need the second half of it anyway.

Rome Flynn - I like him. The actors involved in that story/that family seem to get nominated each year, and I feel like they usually put in pretty strong work. But the characters also tend to be a bit preachy. IDK, I didn't really have a problem with anything in his. He loses the spotlight for a bit in the next to the last scene (to the dad).

Tristan Lake Leabu - This didn't feel like a reel for him. I feel like Y&R gets a nominee with a new younger actor every year, and they start the reel with some of their earliest scenes (I'm just assuming that's what happened here). Anyway, the performances in his reel weren't great, IMO, but I really loved what they were doing with him drinking and Nikki's alcoholism. Like...I REALLY liked it.

IDK who will win. Based on reels...my fave was Hudson and maybe Rome second? Casey definitely got a lot of press and attention, so maybe that will be enough to counter a rough reel.

I have to agree with the comments on Casey's reel. I thought it may have just been me having to re-watch the scenes, but nothing pulled me in. I'm not getting the hype. Looking back, I think that whole story was overrated and did not live up to expectation.

Same. The minute they chose not to play race, I was checked out. This could've been a gold mine of a story. And they took the easy way. Typical DAYS.

Agreed - the show used to take huge risks and truly be "out there"...now they are more PC than a catholic nun.

I haven't watched the reels yet, but I would be (pleasantly) surprised if a child actor won Younger Actor. I don't think that's happened since Cameryn Grimes/Kimberly McCullough.

It also sounds like Days should fire the person who assembled their reels this year. All of their reels (Olivia, Casey, and Lucas) have sounded like a mess so far.

After watching those Supporting Actress reels (Marla Adams overhyped...reel did not convey said hype....SSH, the first minute was BAD, but the 2nd was effective as hell, Camryn Grimes was good...but again...overhyped. Mishael Morgan surprised the hell out of me as did Elizabeth Hendrickson).RA

My ranks after watching reels:

1.) Mishael Morgan (Y&R)
2.) Elizabeth Hendrickson (Y&R)
3.) Susan Seaforth Hayes (DAYS)
4.) Camryn Grimes (Y&R)
5.) Jacqueline MacInnes Woods (B&B)
6.) Marla Adams (Y&R)

Susan's only hope is if the CBS/Y&R/B&B 5 way split works out and she ends up with enough votes for 1st.
