Robert Newman (TV's "Guiding Light") and Joanna Glushak were rehearsing last week to play Harold and Vicki in the 2000 musical comedy, which is about laid-off steel workers who put on a risque show to regain their self-confidence.

"The Full Monty," staged by Pittsburgh CLO at the Benedum Center, runs Tuesday through next Sunday; tickets at 412-456-6666 or www.pittsburghclo.org.

******************************

Note: Wow I need to get to Pittsburg. I just wonder if Newman is bearing it all like the guys did in the movie. For a man his age he still looks GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Guiding Light Actor Bares All For Full Monty

(KDKA) PITTSBURGH One of daytime televisions biggest stars is calling Pittsburgh home for at least for a week or so.

Robert Newman, who plays Josh Lewis on Guiding Light, is taking on a new role at the Benedum Theater.

Newman is starring in the Full Monty.

He plays the role of Harold, one of six unemployed steelworkers.

"He has not told his wife that he has been let go," said Newman of his character. "Six months have gone by. He still dresses in a suit and a tie five days a week… kisses her goodbye and leaves. She thinks he is going to work. He's looking for a job and the credit cards are jacking up like crazy."

So to pay the bills, the guys decide to form a male strip tease act.

They strip down to nothing on stage but Newman says the show is about a lot more than just baring the flesh.

"This crazy idea brings them all together and their relationships to each other build,
said Newman. "Their relationships to their significant others build and change and they become better people."

Newman is no novice to the stage.

In fact he has worked extensively in theater calling it his first love.

He performs on stage about once a year

Some people at the CBS board went and they said Newman looked very hot. None of them got photos though. They said he was a good looking man for any age but especially for his age and that his body was very very hot.
