One Life To Live: New Actor Takes Over Jack Manning
Jack Manning is about to get a new look. Carmen LoPorto will be joining the cast One Life To Live and will be stepping into the role of the unfortunate son of Todd Manning (Trevor St. John) and Blair Cramer (Kassie DePaiva) on Friday, September 28. This marks the third time the role has been recast.
Jack Boscoe first portrayed Jack Manning from 2004 to December 2006 and was followed by Thomas Justusson, who currently plays the character.
Unfortunately, Justusson has been let go from the long running soap, which will air his last episode this month. LoPorto, who started taping for One Life to Live on August 20, will remain recurring actor on the show.
"It's good, the shooting is going well. I know them all," LoPorto, who has no problem remembering his lines, said in a phone interview.
"Actually, I would like it to go on as long as they want me to," he added.
The 10-year-old actor has an impressive acting career despite his young age. He has appeared on Law & Order: SVU, and films like Father, Munich and Haber, where he played Herman Haber.
Aside from One Life To Live, he will also be featured in the 2008 film Pride and Glory, which stars Ed Norton and Collin Farell.
On the other hand, he also has to deal with rejection just like any other actor, according to his mother, Lynn LoPorto.
"He does go on a tremendous amount of auditions," she said.
Surprisingly, he quickly moves on when he doesn't end up getting a desired role.
"He understands that it's part of the game," she said. "One time he got discouraged. It was between him and a boy out in L.A. They picked the L.A. boy. If he gets it, he gets it. If he doesn't, he doesn't."
