John McCook (Eric) tells Soap Opera Weekly that because of Susan Flannery's absence, powerful scenes where Eric packed Stephanie's bags and threw her out of the house had to be scrapped for the rewrites.

So, basically scenes that had to be scrapped because of Susan's absence were already taped with Susan in them? I'm so confused...
Why didn't they use those scenes then?!
Those sounded like they would have been GREAT!

||They weren't taped Bell. They were written but hadn't been taped yet. All of the stuff with the confrontations had to be scrapped even though they had been written and even spoiled.|
