Well I loved Margo giving Dusty the third degree for thinking he's above the law. It's about time somebody does. |

No prob Clint. I just hate looking around on the boards and seeing ATWT go this direction. From watching Days for 30 years and through the super couple era when this happens to a soap it is not good. TPTB get to thinking that can make these fan bases happy and they have it made. And they get into the habit that as long as the couple is in some kind of story whether it be good or bad that is all that matters. I just so hate to see this happen to ATWT. |

The sad thing is, it would take so little to make the viewers happy. (notice I said "viewers" and not "fan base X"). Situations that make sense, and emotions that ring true. So little...yet so complex for these idiots in charge to understand. The ONLY times I've related to the Nuke story, are the rare moments we've gotten at Luke or Noah's feelings about being accepted. This hooey with Winston is just a cheap way to move the action along. It's like JP can only write ONE story. X & Y are in love, but X won't admit it and turns to Z. The more Y tries to get X, the more X clings to Z. Is there really any difference between Paul/Meg/Craig, Carly/Jack/Katie, and Luke/Noah/Maddie? Paul/Meg/Craig and Carjack/Katie are virtually the same story! Ro and Brad are the also rans, Paul and Jack are using two women, Katie and Craig both are doing everything they can to be number 1 in Jack/Meg's hearts, and Carly and Meg are making bad decisions left and right. |

:soapbox: This show makes me so damn mad the way it has a big moment (although poorly executed) like yesterday with Luke either getting shot or not getting shot and the next day there is nothing on it. What is going on behind the scenes these day? They are making so many bad decisions these days. What is wrong with the soaps these days. Are they all trying to run a contest to see who can do the dumbest thing and not get cancelled. :soapbox: |

ITA Another thing is the switching back and forth from scene to scene. I would like longer scenes with more depth to them insteading of that. They must think the average fan has a short attention span or gets bored easily. |

Yesterday's episode was OK for me. I enjoyed Carly yesterday. I am glad she is not dying. I know some have said they don't like the idea of her keeping it quiet and not telling anybody. I do think it is in her character to do it though. If the situation was reversed,Katie for sure would do it. Superhero Dusty saves the day for Luke. He came in to the hospital earlier after an ordeal of being shot and left to die. He recovered nicely. I would like to see Lily just go off on Holden.I guess Noah turning to the bottle is her fault too. I was reading another board and a poster said that Holden was comitting "emotional abuse" towards Lily. They suggested that Lily kick him out of "her" house and that he be sure that he leaves"her" checkbook behind. I'd like to see Lucinda stick her nose in to it and give Holden a piece of her mind. |

Give JP credit for one thing. She sure can destroy a character and make you hate them. She is turning Holden into a character I don't know. Sure he has a right to be upset to a certain degree but JP always takes the things the core characters say in arguments to the ultimate degree of hurt. I can't believe so many times the things they have Jack say to Carly. And now Holden to Lily. It is totally ridiculous. Sure Lily and Carly make mistakes but it is no reason for Jack and Holden to turn into pompous sons-o-bitches. I have totally hated Holden in this and I should feel a little sorry for him that his wife has made mistakes that have hurt him. But I don't. It goes back to what PJ said last week - all this reminds me exactly as she said that JP just keeps writing the same story for each couple. The way Holden is acting it is so apparent. This time I bet anything Lily will turn to Dusty (like Carly did to the Aussie) and then Holden will move on with some other little tramp in town. Could he be the one who is there to pick up Katie's broken heart. LOL On the Luke/Noah front, I am still very disappointed in this new development but appreciate the drama it is causing - even though it is a very poor writing choice. It does answer one question I had or thought I had. I wondered what they would do to keep Luke and Noah out of bed with one another. Men naturally move to sex quicker than your typical heterosexual couple. I know that overall they are getting good feedback over the relationship but sex is a big step that the network is probably still antsy about. By making Luke not function below the waste they don't have to worry about it for awhile. |

^^^anything that gets that little TWIT away from Jack would be a relief. But with my luck, Holden and Carly will get drunk one night.... :o |

"He's a Snyder darling. They are always holier then thou!" Lucinda said that to Lily today when they were discussing Lily's troubles with Holden. Leave it to Lucinda to put things in to prospective :D ! I am hoping before the show is over that she rips in to her son in law! |
