Strong 5th Season Opener for Nip/Tuck:
FX drama Nip/Tuck, which changed locations from Miami to Los Angeles, opened season five on Wednesday, Oct. 31 with a solid 4.3 million viewers, 3.5 million adults 18-49 and 2.2 million adults 18-34. Comparably, not only did that rank as basic cable’s top-rated series on Tuesday, it finished first in the 10 p.m. hour nationally among adults 18-34, and second overall for the evening (behind Fox’s House) in the demo. Compared to its season four average, this was an increase of 400,000 viewers and as much as 25 percent among adults 18-49. Combined with the 11 p.m. encore, the total number of viewers for Nip/Tuck was 6.2 million.
