Donald Trump's Nemesis Rosie O'Donnell in Talks to Join MSNBC
November 6, 2007

MSNBC confirmed this morning that they are in preliminary talks with Rosie O'Donnell about possibly hosting a prime time talk show. O'Donnell, who had a brief but controversial stint as a co-host on The View, is seen as a ratings beacon, someone who will instantly increase viewers, whether those viewers like her or not. According to The New York Times, NBC has been courting O'Donnell ever since she left The View to come work for the Peacock in some capacity, whether it be talk show or game show. The most likely scenario is for O'Donnell to take over MSNBC's 9pm ET/PT time slot and go head-to-head with two cable juggernauts in CNN's Larry King and FOX News' Hannity and Colmes.

Rosie could take anyone just by rolling over them...they'd be dead in four seconds flat.

This being America, I'd (sadly) have to say that it would probably do fairly decently.

He was demoted as GM of MSNBC in Sept........<_<

I really like Dan, and am hoping that MSNBC doesn't try to replace his nightly show with anything......

I'd love to see Rosie O'Donnell with her own primetime talker. She'd be the biggest trainwreck since the return of "Donahue."

A liberal's answer to Michael Savage.

I'm glad it fell through, but it didn't really matter. I don't watch the channel anyway but if Rosie went there I definitely wouldn't.

I have yet to find any of the news talk shows that I can get into. I want one that is balanced and they are all too one sided for me. I want someone that can moderate and not let their damn views kick in too much. I like to watch debates but when the host is like Rosie or Bill Maher or Rush Limbaugh I get so mad at them and their commentary that I turn them off. Those 3 are the worst of the lot and if they all 3 disappeared off the face of the earth I wouldn't shed a tear.
