Tuesday, December 11th a high school reunion is held for old Salem High School friends and old classmates such as “Penny” (Alison McMillan), “Susan” (Jennifer Gee), “Kevin” (Robert Benvenisti), “Cynthia” (Veronica Lauren), and “Jason” (Aaron Van Wagner) return to Salem.

Are you serious?

As funny as this is and as horrible as those DAYS were, I'm really excited to see everyone again. It's going to be good to see "Shy Girl" (Penny), "Gigantor" (Susan), "Ghoul Girl" (Chloe) and the rest of the Salem High gang again.

This comes as such a shock because I never ever expected to see any of those characters ever again.

It is going to be weird not to have Mimi there though.

I actually liked Cynthia, and I was happy when they signed her to a contract during the Hartley House storyline, but then they dropped her.

Does anyone think we'll get a Jan mention?

OMG! Wow! I'm gonna so tune in to see this! I hated that one period when they totally dominated the show (I think it was fall 2001), but prior to that and after their dominance was gone, I liked the teen scene.. :)

I did too, Manny.

I loved the Salem High gang (Shawn, Belle, Philip, Chloe, Mimi, Jan, Jason, Susan, Kevin, even Penny). It was when they took over and we lost seeing the characters we actually cared about is when things took a nose dive for me.

Once Brash and Cwickly took over in the spring of 02, and wrote Salem High's final months of high school, it wasn't that bad. I liked the graduation episode, and the last blast, and even the beginning of the Salem University storyline that never had a chance to be told, even though it wasn't that bad. It was like one day, they were all in Hartley House, and the very next day, everyone's in the real world and done with college already. Thanks a lot Higley!

I loved all the Last Blast Dances... I wish they would bring them back..

Yeah, they totally screwed up when they moved them all one day from college to young adults...

We should have seen them in their college days... there could have been many more stories there... but instead we now have Belle being almost as old as Sami... :P

I know!

And if you want to be technical, Martha is older than Alison. It will be funny as Belle will look older than all of the gang.

Ali Sweeney is about a year older than Martha. Martha is 30, Ali turned 31 in September. Jay will be 31 in February. I think the rest of them from Salem High are all in the 20's though.

Well this is awkward...just wow!

Too bad Mimi, or even Jan, couldn't attend though.

I just wonder if this will tie in to a story or if this is just some random ratings stunt that won't impact the stories. It just seems weird to do this especially now. It seems weird to waste money on the returns too but maybe it has something to do with Chloe's return.

Yeah, it is kind of odd timing. It would make more sense if Jason, Kristen, and Farah were all still on the show though.

They should at least make it interesting and bring back Cassie or even Jan, miraculously recovered from her coma.

Well Cassie was never a part of the Salem High gang, she wasn't even on the show then. But she was on when they lived at the Hartley House and pathetic Cynthia made fun of Rex and Cassie.

I hated that era too until B&C salvaged it somewhat.

I think this will tie in to the Shawn/Belle/Philip/Chloe story. Maybe they will all feel nostalgic and it will affect the feeling between them somehow. I can see them mentioning Jan and Mimi in passing but it will be weird them not being there.

it's a one day affair so it won't be a big deal if it happens to flop. If it was a more long-term event, then I may not be inclined to give this the benefit of the doubt.
