Jared Says He's a Buchanan

Dollar signs light up when Jared overhears buying Alex's silence regarding David's paternity, so Jared decides to pass himself off as Asa's long lost son. "I think he buy's into the thought of destiny quite a bit and he's obsessed, for lack of a better word, with Asa and the whole Buchanan family," previews John Brotherton [Jared].

"He always talks about the fact that Asa's a family man and I think that inside, Jared wants that too, and there's stuff coming up that proves that he does have a sense of family and what it means."

Knowing what he now knows, Jared successfully blackmails Nigel into going along with his scheme, but not without some concern regarding his virgining romance with Natalie. "That's the major hang-up," declares Brotherton. "He is committed to this scheme, but he's fallen for someone, and when love steps in the way, it makes things difficult."

Didn't they do this exactly story in 1998-9 when Max and Blair conned everyone into believing Max was the long lost heir but it turned out to be Ben? I don't watch OLTL anymore but how is this situation different?

This sounds a lot like the storyline that brought David Vickers to Llanview. David pretended to be the long-lost bastard son of Victor Lord (really it was Todd Manning), and David fell in love with his supposed sister, Tina, who later went along with the scheme.

It's been done before. But I like the dynamic of it that Jared most probably is Charlie's long lost son. Both Brotherton and Kerwin are interesting to watch.

Just finished watching Nip/Tuck season three, and Kerwin can definitely act. He scared the shit out of me on that show.
