I'm seriously not typing this out, but basically GH got Editor's Choice for the first three days of the ball. They say GH lived by the adage of "if it ain't broke don't fix it" and "took a cue" from the MC hostage situation to tell the B&W ball in reverse. They say GH pulled out all the big guns with gorgeous gowns, elaborate sets and green-screen special effects. Then noted some of the plot points from those first three episodes. Alexis running into Jerry on the docks, Robin running into Patrick/Leyla, L&L2's dance, Johnny taking Scott's invitation, Luke and Lulu dancing, Sonny/Kate, Ric's stabbing, etc. And ended with "yep, just another GH sweeps done right. A little romance, a little adventure and a whole lot of mayhem. And that was just the first three hours." http://soapzone.com/boards/read.php/gh/main/9337654 |

I couldn't agree more. I LOVED the Metro Court Disaster, but this Masked Ball blew it outta the water, IMO. Plenty of Emmy material all around. |

I totally agree. This was much better than Metro Court. So much more human interest and character driven too. Loved it so mcuh. |

I loved both! When I remember the final MC montage with cops entering, tear gas, everyone trying to hide or get out, the music that played, editing... amazing! But also the ball has been done just as great! So I won't compare. Both were awesome and no soap this year came close to these two storylines, IMO. I don't care if they were stunts, they were entertaining and they had me glued to my chair! (Even though this ball did have some bad elements.. I think it was week 2 of the ball when Spin and Nadine were running away from Anthony.. it was like watching a cartoon... did not like that part... but everything else was great!) |
