Next week as a result of the e-mails that Gloria bombards the ethics committee with they decide to investigate Jack's fitness for the Senate. Jack holds a press conference and it sounds from Peter Bergman's comments that he and Ben arrange for a reporter to ask about Victor's possible involvement in the murder of Ji Min. Jack promised Sharon that he would not be the one to point a finger at Victor while he was going through this difficult time. But Jack's chief of staff Ben offers no such assurances and he does implicate Victor which leads the police to start focusing on Victor. When Jack is called before the Senate committee Phyllis is there to support him. There is an interview with Peter Bergman re the writers' strike. He said he is torn because he understands where both sides are coming from. PB said the climate on the set is very tense and the actors have no idea who is writing for the show. He said that since Y&R tapes five weeks ahead so far they have not really felt the impact on the show. But that will change when they get scripts that were written by someone else. PB said it was his opinion that if the soaps are taken off the air while the strike goes on then the soaps "are dead." Linked |
