New Man As Possible Love for Ashlee
"Guiding Light's " Coop and Ashlee may have hit minor snags when it comes to admitting their feelings for one another; however, just as things seem to be coming together for the two of them, another possible snag could split them up.

It is being reported in the latest issue of CBS Soaps in Depth that Ian Alda has been cast in the role of Einstein, who will be working with Ashlee. Alda is the nephew of actor Alan Alda ("The West Wing," "M*A*S*H"). His first airdate is slated for Monday, December 3, and Tuesday, December 11.

Alda isn't the only family member to step into a role on daytime television. Anthony Alda played the role of Johnny Corelli on NBC's "Days of Our Lives" in the early nineties.

Although Alda is only appearing in two episodes, rumor has it that he could be slated as a possible love interest of Ashlee's.

Now THIS is something I could get behind. I don't get Ashlee-Coop (and it isn't a slap at Caitlin Van Zandt, who I think is a decent actress). I just think OLTL did the story much better before GL did.
