http://soapzone.com/boards/read.php/gh/main/9371944 I am tired of the GH writers stealing old Jason and Robin scenes to try to sell current couples to the audience. Enough is enough. I have been watching GH for over 20 years, and I feel like the writers couldn't care less that I, and countless others, have stood by them. I understand they have new viewers, but that does not mean they have to disrespect past couples and their history to make way for another pairing. If a new pairing is that weak or unpopular with the majority of the audience, then the characters shouldn't be together. What's next? Ripping off old scenes from Sonny and Brenda or Luke and Laura? Why should I spend time watching this show when, once a couple breaks up, everything they shared will be forgotten, erased or used for another pairing? Those in charge should be listening to their veteran viewers, because we have stuck by this show and supported it for a while. When will the writers and producers start respecting the history - and the viewers who have invested in it? - Marie, Ohio. **************************************** Sneak Peeks: Robin rejects Patrick's compromise. Johnny takes control of the Zacchara organization. Emily remains a presence by Nikolas' side. Luke finally agrees to heart surgery. Sonny fears the killer is targeting the women in his life. Can't Miss: Wed. Dec. 5 - Alexis finds Leyla in Jerry's bed. Next Week: Skye holds her own with Johnny and Trevor. Trevor has a warning for Jason. Trevor sets a deadly plan in motion. Johnny and Lulu walk into a trap. ***************************************** Winners: GH: The show remembered Sonny and Emily's forgotten liaison. Losers: WABC: NY viewers saw an ad for Oprah's "Greatest Love Stories Ever Told!" over GH when Nik "killed" Emily. ***************************************** Bumped: Jackie Zeman has been bumped to recurring status on GH. In a statement she says that after 33 years with ABC she was "advised on Friday, November 9 that due to financial restructuring, Bobbie Spencer would have recurring status. She says she'll continue to value her relationship with GH and GH fans. She truly appreciates them and after all these years many have become like family to her. Not True: Reports of Annie Wersching that claimed she'd return to GH as Amelia are not true according to a source close to AW. She's still under contract to Fox for the upcoming season of 24. ***************************************** Jason, Jake & Elizabeth: It's Over After Liz and Jason make love, Jason comes back to say to Liz, according to SBu, "We've opened this door, now what are we going to do?" Liz can't answer because Lucky shows up, causing Jason to make himself scarce and listen in on as Liz and Lucky's talk about Jake. "Lucky and Elizabeth both agree Jake would be safer [with Lucky], and that shuts the door right there for Jason and Elizabeth," according to SBu. Jason can't disagree with their thinking because that's the reality. "Jason makes that decision - Jake is safer away from Jason's lifestyle. As much as Jason would love to claim his son and be with Elizabeth, that's the bottom line," says SBu. Later on Liz and Jason meet to talk about what's going on and Jason agrees to stay away from Jake. According to SBu Jason has always wanted a family with Liz and Jake but he knows it can't happen. Lucky then visits Jason and issues an ultimatum, that he'll only continue to be Jake's father if Jason stays away from Liz and the boys. "Jason can't make the promise that he'll stay away from Elizabeth, but he says he'll do his best to stay away from Jake and let Elizabeth and Lucky raise him," per SBu. Jason also has an ultimatum for Lucky. He warns him that should Lucky go back to drugs or start to do anything Jason doesn't agree with, he'll step in and take Jake back. Jason doesn't like the situation at all but his main concern is keeping Jake safe. Since the threats from the Zacchara organization are escalating Jason has no choice because they're coming after Jason and Sonny and have been known to target families. "So, Jason is doing what he needs to do to keep Jake safe." Even if it breaks his heart. *********************************************** A Closer Look: Kristina Wagner KW returns to GH when Felicia deals with the death of Georgie this month and KW is delighted to be back even if it's only for a few days. SOW asks her if she was excited when she got the call. She said she was but she's said to hear about LL's departure. Being part of the canvas again, though is exciting. She thinks it's a great show with great writers but bad timing with the writer's strike. She says she knows her first two episodes were written by the GH writers before the strike which she was relieved to hear. She joined the writers on the picket line and they're in good spirits and enthusiastic. She wants it to end well and them to get what they're entitled to. When asked where Felicia has been, KW notes they don't really explain it on screen but they've already established she's with a sick Mariah. She said she created a whole backstory in her head about Felicia looking for a missing Frisco and not wanting to let the girls know the truth. It's a pretty detailed backstory she came up with because that's what an actor has to do, believe in it and zero in on the details to create life onstage. She keeps informed about the show and catches it every now and then but she's not a loyal watcher. She's looking forward to seeing just about everyone, says it's like a family reunion, not many people she hasn't met. But Kirsten is one of them and she think she's a fabulous actress and is really looking forward to working with her. She's been back in college for seven years, changing her major three times from theater to liberal studies and finally to history. It's more challenging to go back as an older student because you have to do the work but you also have to know the technology to write papers and do presentations and whatnot. She doesn't impose on her sons to ask them to teach her because they have their own work to do. When she was doing the BJ heart story she says it was one of the most intense kind of stories you can do because it deals with the health or death of a child. Children are like little angels and when something goes wrong it's devastating and gut-wrenching and produces amazing drama. SOW mentions Felicia will have to deal with the death of a child again. KW says "Like I said, there are a lot of choices to make. There's also the dynamic of, these girls maybe confused about why Felicia's been gone. There's a lot to play here." Her last word to her fans is that she can't plug education enough because it keeps you alive and helps keep you driven, especially "when there are big transitions in your life, when you can either take paths of destruction of paths of being productive." |
