Stephen's arrest threatens to tear the Logan family apart this week as his children are forced to take sides.

"There are three different views," explains Jennifer Gareis [Donna]. "Katie all out believes it's her dad [who shot Stephanie]. Brooke is also on the fence, and Donna is at the opposite end; Donna is sure there is no Logan capable of that -- especially her father."

Gareis explains Donna's unwavering loyalty. "With Donna, it's blind faith. Donna's more daddy's little girl, even though Katie is younger. She forgave dad for leaving and abandoning them, whereas Brooke and Katie have more issues with that. Katie is so upset with him, she can never forgive him."

Katie goes so far as to urge her father to confess -- as do Stephanie and Eric, when they strong arm him to come clean and spare his family a messy trial. As for brother Storm, "He just jumps into lawyer mode," notes Gareis.

Sensing the toll his arrest is taking on his family, and desperate for all the help he can muster, Stephen reaches out to mend fences in his family, beginning with Brooke. Stephen and Donna insist that "the evidence is so blatantly pointing to him, he must have been framed," suggest Gareis. "The video tape must have been doctored, and obviously the gun must have been planted in his room. It just seems too cut and dry." Brooke starts to soften and for Donna's part, "She just hopes to see her family become united and get stronger."

Don't hold your breath, Donna. While Stephen is working to mend fences, the police misconstrue an off-hand remark he makes as a possible confession... and arrest him again for violating terms of his bail after he breaks into Stephanie's place.

Defend that, Donna!
