And played a kick ass drunk. She was amazing. I was so wishing I'd read wrong and she won instead of Ashlee. Marlena could go to Mazetlan and find clues to John's past (leading to him being Roman because hello - Mazetlan!)... would fit in with Jimena's accent if they said she was Brasilian and working there... Would make sense since she would still be foreign and have that 'look'. |

It's not that I didn't like Ashlee, but I was in shock over the stupidity of letting Jimena go. |

Why does she have no business being in the Christmas show? She will probably be in it for like one scene and what if she tell Marlena info that suggests John is alive? That would serve as the Christmas miracle/message of hope. We can't say how good the role is based on her being a psychic. Like I said, she may end up being related to Celeste or something. The show took 3 months to bring her because they had to write her in since they didn't know who was going to win. Plus, they were six-packing. I liked Jimena too and didn't like her attitude but, like someone else mentioned, she did drunk well and she did emotion well. Everything else she did felt forced. Travis was the best and the most natural. We can't tell anything yet based on this and I don't see how anything can be condemned until we see her. The notion that she shouldn't be in the Christmas show is something I can't see or understand. We know mostly everyone that should be on that show is there so why should there be an issue? You'll be lucky if she is in a scene that lasts more then 3 minutes in that show. |

Eh, she's gonna be there anyway, so there's not really much point in debating it. |

Who was Jimena? The one with the thick accent? |

Yeah. She was the Columbian Soap Actress who blew the judges away every episode yet they still passed her up. Oy! |

The judges didn't pass on her. The fans did. Jimena and Ashley both had things they weren't good at and things they were. They both had strength and weaknesses and, ultimately, I think the fans leaned in Ashley's direction because she is a single mother and Jimena's attitude was grating. You couldn't go wrong either way. I just hope this role has an edge because Ashley would fit it well if it does. It's not the psychic angle that concerns me. It's what they have planned for her and where they are going with this. I am confident enough since she will be interacting with Dee. My other concern is her being a Hogan fave and being shoved down out throats. Hopefully, Ed will oversee it well and she will be weaved in like Morgan. |

Didn't the fan vote only count as one vote? The judges had three votes? Explain? Confused? I still don't see Jimena as having an attitude. I thought she was quite lovable. |

The judges vote did count somehow. Not sure exactly how it worked though. |

Well, I remember it as the judges were the ones that made all the selections up until the finale and then the fans decided between the final two. The judges may have counted for a minor percentage, like DWTS, but I'm pretty sure the fans counted for the most. I did like Jimena. She was serious about the craft and she could act. I just remember seeing her being a little diva, which wasn't a problem until the finale when she came off like a "I'm good and I know it" type person. She just came off very bad on the finale and I didn't like it but it may just be me. It was one of those things where I liked both and was ok with both. |

Seriously she will probably end up being related to Celeste somehow, accent and all lol. But I am sure since they already have a psychic in Salem there has to be another reason behind it. I wonder if she will tell Marlena John's spirit can't be found in the "after world" lmao :P I never really thought that IWBASS was going to last as long as it did. I don't even remember who or what roles were won for OLTL and GH... I only remember AMC because his role actually lasted so long. |

That's not the way I interpreted it at all. All of the press releases I saw about it said "viewers help decide." And I am pretty sure I am remember the judges saying a bit on how each of them thought before they chose the winner. |

All I remember is all the hype about the decision being in the viewer's hands for the first time. The judges had a stake in it but I think they left it much more up to the public as far as the finale goes since the judges made the rest of the decisions through the whole season. On the finale, the judges spoke of why each contestant got there in each of their minds and what makes them good and so on. It was confusing as to how much was where exactly though. |

I found this on the SoapNet boards: As for how the vote count works, it was on the website. Each judge independently votes a score of 1 thru 10 for each contestant. Then a normalized percentage is assigned (e.g. All judges vote 9 for Ashlee and 8 for Jimena. That's a total of 51 points. 27/51(52.94%) for Ashlee and 24/51(47.06%) for Jimena. Then those percentages would be added with a audience vote (lets just say the viewer vote was split right down the middle. Then the final score would be Ashlee - 52.94% + 50.00% = 102.94% Jimena - 47.06% + 50.00% = 97.06% I bet that would make it the closest vote ever, compared to how they usually do it. This approach also gives equal weighting to the judges and audience vote. I hope this helps explain things. http://forums.soapnet.go.com/n/pfx/forum.a...wannabe&tid=335 |

Well if this chick would be a fortune teller, wouldn't it be great if Hogan continued a long time dropped storyline about Celeste, brought back Caprice for just a little while to tell us the story and made this new girl Celeste's daughter! I sure would like to know more about Celeste and why Caprice called her Frankie... |
