It is sad when a new episode of ER with Gloria Ruben can't even beat repeats of CSI and WAT :shame:

True, Rick but the promotion for it sucked.

Other then during Days, I saw no promotion of it whatsoever outside of a few promos here and there. Back in the day, they promoted the hell out of ER and now it's so inconsistent in terms of promotion it's sad.

Plus, they keep putting the show on long hiatuses. I remember last year it was doing great in the ratings until the long hiatus and it still hasn't recovered.

It also didn't help matters that Maura Tierney (Abby) was not in the episode. I know Abby was still at rehab but she is the most popular character on there since Luka is on and off and the longest tenured main character and she brings in alot of fans.

That number is actually pretty decent considering what they normally get though.

It is kind of sad when you remember how many viewers ER was getting 10 years ago or 5 years ago for that matter...But the episode was a great one, i just love Gloria Ruben..Whats really sad is that NBC is getting great numbers from their reality shows so far...I don't think they will be in a hurry to rush the strike..

I don't watch ER, but I can't believe it's STILL on.

It may not always do well in the ratings anymore but they still have great episodes. The quality has returned overall the past 3 seasons and Maura Tierney is being overlooked big time. That woman deserves recognition for her work this year and for last year as well. She is marvel IMO.

I loved seeing Gloria last night and wish she would return. She was fantastic and so was the episode. We even got Doug and Carol mentions and a hint of Carter's return (they said Spring but it will probably be Fall now with the strike).

I don't see the strike being rushed either, which is sad because I don't want to see all this reality stuff. I like some of it but I want things to start getting back to normal or for both sides to at least begin talking again.
