"If Sami can't find happiness with a Martian, then she can't find happiness with anyone."

Thanks to the strongish numbers it has put up opposite strike-weakened competition, The Celebrity Apprentice has been greenlit for a second season, to air in January 2009 (opposite, we hope, lotsa good and fresh CSIs, Grey's Anatomys and Supernaturals).

"This revved-up installment of The Apprentice has been a game-changer for the series," NBC reality boss Craig Plestis tells Variety, adding that producers are already hearing from "high-profile celebrities" anxious to compete in Season 2. High-profiles celebs, you say? Even higher than whozeewhatsit the lady marketing exec?

You know what? I love the season after totally giving up on the Apprentice franchise.

I am happy about this. Working with celebs brings out the best in the Don!
