-Writers Strike Update:
Fortunately, there is more slow movement. Lions Gate Entertainment Corp., the home of AMC’s Mad Men and Showtime’s Weeds, and Marvel Entertainment has reached an interim agreement with the striking Hollywood writers, allowing the studios to resume production. The deal includes compensation for the use of their work on the Internet and mobile phones. Hopefully this will add momentum to union talks with the other major media companies.
