After nine years of playing Det. Ed Green (and after many months of speculation), Jesse L. Martin is expected to leave NBC's Law & Order. Sources tell the Hollywood Reporter that Martin, who had originally signed on for at least 13 episodes this season, will film one more show in which his alter ego is written off of the canvas.

Perhaps filling the void left by Martin will be Anthony Anderson, who is said to be in final talks to join L&O. Anderson (most recently of Fox's short-lived K-Ville) would play a new detective partnered with Jeremy Sisto's Lupo.

Dammit!

Please not Anthony Anderson, I cannot take him seriously after being a comedic actor all these years.

They could always bring on Frank (Andre Braugher) from Homicide, or Isaiah Washington

I will miss Eddie :( I don't know much about Anthony Anderson so I can't say if he's good or bad I just hope they find a good replacement they've been struggling with finding the right actors to play the cops ever since Jerry Orbach left

Well, this news sucks. Just when they found a good combo with Green & Lupo. The show seems revitialized this season with the Sisto addition as well as the new DA. I was really liking it again after a couple of off seasons. I don't want to see Anthony Anderson. I like the idea of Andre Braugher. He would be great.
