Will the CW rescue Friday Night Lights?

NBC is looking for someone to huddle with in order to "save" the critically acclaimed (if disappointingly sampled) Friday Night Lights. Confirming that which was reported weeks ago by Ausiello, Variety hears that the Peacock has already had talks with the likes of the CW, E!, G4 and TNT — and next may woo DirecTV — about sharing Friday Night Lights across staggered broadcast windows (à la Law & Order: Criminal Intent, which premieres new stuff on USA, then encores on NBC).

Alas, sources tell the trade that one stumbling block could be NBC's high asking price to share the series. NBC reps had no comment on the report.

LoL, why don't they just rename DirecTV to "The Dumping Grounds of NBC's Leftovers"?

Amen. If it does work, let's hope DTV doesn't RAPE the fans of this show as it did "Passions" fans!!
