Note: Nothing new here. It was just nice to hear from Leann about her storyline, so I decided to type it up. :) Source: CBS Soaps in Depth In a move to get Tony's attention, Days of our Lives' Anna tries to steal his staff! The in depth story: Anna was hurt when Tony didn't invite her to be a part of his new advertising agency, and in retaliation, went to work for his competition. Now, she's upping the ante by under minding Tony's new venture. But what's really behind Anna's vindictive moves? "Anna was expecting Tony to propose to her," explains her portrayer Leann Hunley. "They are divorced but still together. So she was a little disappointed, to say the least, that he decided to start a business without her and without taking Anna seriously as a natural partner in it. It's a male/female thing. As a woman, she wants him to respect and love her too. Tony doesn't understand why she doesn't think he does. He's giving Anna everything that she needs except marriage." The couple left Salem in December for an extended holiday but returned in February with a brand new storyline. "That's the way soaps go," she muses. "I go with the flow." At this point, Anna and Tony are in a great place. "In my humble opinion, it's turning out to be a pretty good story," she smiles. "Anna needs Tony's respect; she wants him to be proud of her. We all need confidence, and confidence is built upon what we feel from other people. She needs somebody to validate her. Tony is the one who always validates her." But could Anna's business moves prevent her from ever again finding pleasure in Tony's arms? |

Am I the only one that thinks Anna and Tony are too sophisticated for this juvenile dreck or have I gone mental? |

You're not. Sometimes when I'm watching Tony and Anna right now, it feels like they're possessed by Max and Stephanie. They're above this silliness, but the writers just don't know how else to handle them. |

It ain't rocket science, Days. Tony and Anna are money, champagne, glamour, caviar, palamino ponies, diamonds and furs....Not teenagers, and certainly not RC Cola and Hamburger Helper. Are they trying to give them that same silly banter that made Jack and Jennifer look so stupid? If someone set their mind to it, they could come up with something far better than this. |

The writers just treat Tony and Anna like fluff and filler, and not characters to be taken seriously (especially Anna), like they couldn't do just as well with a meaty frontburner storyline as Bo and Hope or John and Marlena. |

Just curious, did you watch them in the 80s? Yeah, they can be immature. I love watching Anna piss off Tony, then watching him get mad and then have sex with her. LOL Everything else on the show is so serious, it's nice to see something light hearted for a change. Leann's a natural comic actress. Let her do what she does best. I've seen Thaao do comedy before. He's pretty funny too. He's friggin hysterical during the online chats. As a Tanna fan, I like the s/l. Hell, I'm just happy they are on. BTW, they are supposed to have a hot sex scene on Thursday. Thaao's thrilled with it. |

I did watch them but my memory isn't what it used to be. I guess I was hoping for a meatier story for them instead of this filler. Yes, it's nice to see them onscreen, but it would be even better if they are given the opportunity to display their acting chops, which we know they both have. |

Glad LeAnn finally got to be interviewed. Awesome! While this story could be better and has gotten better since it started, I do like it and it is fitting for Tony and Anna. Yes, they can handle meaty material but Days is doing enough serious stuff right now. They need a story full of fun and Tony and Anna are that. They are back to form. They were always a bit over the top, romantic, and fun. The only thing I want more of is the elegance of them and the romance but that should come. This story is also adding to the business flavor of the show and I am for that because it's something Tony and Anna dabbled in before. |

I love Tony & Anna, and i love them in there current storyline. Yes i do think they are all about high class life and all that good stuff, but they are rocking this storyline when they are on and it involves many char's. |

I'm glad they don't have a J&M type s/l. The J&M story is beyond dumb. It's a first for Bope to go through this life threatening s/l, but where is it going to go when Bo recovers? There's nothing long term in that s/l really. Besides, near death s/l occur on DOOL every month really. I'm tired of almost all the scenes in DOOL in the hospital. If Tanna were to have a s/l like that, maybe give Anna breast cancer or something realistic that women of that age go through. No more mysterious illness bullcrap. I don't think comedic acting should be put down. It's not easy to do. |

IA, the show shouldn't be all gloom and doom. Thaao is pushing the show to make Tanna romantic again. He wants more dancing. LOL Dancing was always a staple of their relationship. The show has been lacking a good business s/l. John taking on Victor business wise is interesting. Kate having her own business again is a good thing. I also watch B&B. The business s/l there have always been a staple. Forrester Creations is practically another character on the show. You care who runs the company. |
