I like how Leann mentioned that she has to remember to downplay her scenes when the writer write Anna too over the top. If this was another actress, the character would definitely come off as an annoying and immature twit. Thankfully, Leann is a fine actress and can handle whatever the writers dish her way.

These two need a real storyline. Anna and Tony are just running around in circles trying to make one another jealous.

Things get ugly when Anna learns that lover and business rival Tony DiMera has asked Kate on a date. In true vixen fashion, Anna fights fire with fire and sets her sights on John. Leann Hunley discusses playing the fun-filled fury of a woman scorned.

SOW: Before learning about Tony's dalliance, Anna confesses her feelings for him to Stephanie. What prompts that?

LH: They're reading a magazine, which has an article in it [titled] "Ten Ways to Get Your Man Back." Anna says, "I know ten better ways," and starts listening to them all. It's like two women reading Cosmo together. Anna and Stephanie start sharing. They have a girlfriend chat. Anna says Tony doesn't respect her and frustrates the heck out of her. Yet, she finally admits she does love him.

SOW: What makes Anna head to Tony's office?

LH: Anna wants to see what she can get out of Tony. When Anna gets there, she starts snooping around.

SOW: So, Anna finds the internship video camera, which reveals more than she bargained for?

LH: Anna sees the red light on the camera and decides to take a look. She is terribly surprised by what she sees -- Tony asking out Kate.

SOW: What is Anna's reaction?

LH: She no longer cares about the business end of things. Anna's pretty darned mad at Tony. It's like, "He's man. He's just like his kind." Anna's jealous.

SOW: So Anna heads to Chez Rouge, where she finds John and hits on him. Why John?

LH: He just happens to be there. Tony's at the restaurant, too, waiting for Kate. Anna doesn't want to watch them together, so she looks around to see who else she can chat up. It's tit for tat.

SOW: How does it all play out?

LH: Since Marlena is there, I sort of underplayed it. The thing about Anna is, if nothing else, she does care about people. One thing I have to watch is when they write her too over the top or too black and white about things. So Anna semi-flirts with John. She's just being herself. She's not trying to ruin (John and Marlena's evening). She just needs some validation that she is still an attractive woman, because Tony has gone off with somebody else.

SOW: Does John bite?

LH: No. He shuts her down and chases her away. Tony is watching the whole thing from over her shoulder. He finds it all amusing and entertaining.

SOW: How does Anna react?

LH: Anna is going to try to walk out of there with her head held high.

SOW: Does Anna have a new game plan?

LH: The wheels are starting to turn in her head. Anna feels she is going to be blowing in the wind. In the past, she always had Alex Marshall to run to when Tony wasn't behaving properly. It's possible she'll go looking further afield for masculine attention.

SOW: There's always Roman. But how would you feel if she sought out someone new?

LH: Well, when Anna walked away from Tony and stormed toward the door, the new guy, Paul [Linden Ashby] was standing there. I was looking at him and, of course, off stage I asked "Are you single?" We're always playing a little bit backstage!
