This week, for me, was another great, great week.

I even liked Ejami!

The Nicole/EJ/Sami drama was great this week.

The Ava/her dad scenes were AWESOME! Tamara Braun!

DAYS is delivering for me again. I have actually been watching it day of/a day late as opposed to like weeks later.

Same with me. This is the first time I've watched every single day since the first few months of Hogan.

Except for the end with Kayla and the baby drama, today's show went right back to snoozeville for me, after yesterday's good show.

I have to agree. Today's show was quite a snooze fest , except for the ending with Kayla. Was this supposed to be a Friday show.

I thought Mary Beth did a really good job today! The scene at the end was just excellent. She's really been doing a good job of showing how devastated Kayla is. Now if only the writers would let Kayla really deal with that whole Steve/Ava thing.

I have yet to watch the whole show, though. I'm afraid I might become an Ejami fan after all. Sounds like it, if they're really being honest here and there's a real sense of connection between them.

Are the chances of my becoming an Ejami good? I have to wonder. I've never been too much of a Lumi fan, but the rape stopped me from becoming an Ejami. Only now it looks like it's actually being dealt with.

If it IS being dealt with, really...then that gives me hope for Days as a whole. These couples have to deal with their issues instead of have them swept under the carpet.

DAYS is delivering for me again. I have actually been watching it day of/a day late as opposed to like weeks later.

Same here! I quit taping when Jawn came back and mostly just paid attention via spoilers and clips on the boards but finally I'm tuning in again on a regular basis... mostly because of improvements I feel like were made to Sami so that I can root for her again without question.

(ok I confess some of this is cribbed from a post I made at Twop so bare with me)

Maybe my time removed from the show skewed things so I give everything more of a benefit of the doubt, but this Sami that exists right now compared to that sniveling Carrie clone with the martyr complex we got stuck with under Hogan is just like a revelation to me.

Yes, Sami is kind of crazy and is frustrating and still does a lot of things that don't advance the EJami love story. But I can deal with that because I don't have to watch the show as an EJami shipper with a chip on my shoulder (the way I did under Hogan at times) because she entertains me and her banter with EJ entertains me the way it did before everything got so twisted. I like that there is a constant push-pull with Sami not knowing what she wants or having the dilemma of wanting everything and trying to have it all even when it forces her to contradict herself. I like that she is impulsive and jealous. I like that I don't know yet whether Sami really twuly wuvs EJ or she's just horny/lonely/wants to deny Nicole that nice piece of ass. But most of all I love that she is SELFISH rather than the weepy heroine pod-Sami that got Hogan fired and ruined the show last summer. At her core, I've always envisioned Sami as a Scarlett O'Hara selfish and shrewd bad sheep-type and I feel like that is how they are writing her now again.

That's why I'm not stressing about this trip back to the EJamicas triangle, because FINALLY I feel like things are on fair footing now that the event that never should have happened is behind so I can just lay back and enjoy the story and not worry so much about some character pimping someone else no matter who Sami winds up with. (I'm sure some Lucas fans balk at this thinking everyone is pimping EJ, of course I always felt like EJ got ruined the night of the rape to pimp Lumi so I guess it's all in perspective) But whether Sami and EJ wind up together *OR* Sami goes back to Lucas and EJ finally gets fed up and moves on (preferably in a big "Frankly, Sami, I don't give a damn" scene) I can deal.

Obviously I am being carelessly and foolishly optimistic for the ensuing nightmare I'm sure we'll get in this arena, but like I said I just got back from a break so I have a lot of cynicism recharging to do. ;)

For the past two-three weeks, I've caught 2-3 episodes a week. Even those, I generally muted the TV, did some work, and watched alongside ... turned up the volume if there was something good. I'm finding it to be lagging a lot.

Love seeing some positive thoughts about Days.

I'm not in love with the show but I am liking it well enough and that's pretty good in today's soap climate.

I enjoyed today. MBE, SH, and SN did well. That last scene with Kayla was heartbreaking and played wonderfully by MBE and I am just glad to have Ed Scott for this because it played out well and the medical aspect was played well.

I also loved how Kayla being in labor was used to tie in to Chelsea not having kids and feeling it was justice because of Zack. I didn't mind the flashback because I loved that scene with her and Hope and I loved the Chelsea/Bo/Hope scenes and just seeing simple moments like that, embracing Stephanie as she walks in, etc is so nice to see. Plus, I loved Chelsea and Stephanie just sitting around like normal girls talking about baseball players' asses . It's realistic.

Philip/Victor was awesome too. I really enjoyed Victor/Chloe as well and the way they have had Victor gradually give Philip power while also having him remain in the picture is great. John and Jay did well and I could see why Jay was excited about those scenes. He loves working with John and I loved how they both held a glass of brandy and played it out so Godfather-like. Perfect.

Sami/EJ were good too. I'm really enjoying them again and can't wait to see the scenes I mentioned Monday.

Good end to a decent week and I hope the show continues to pick up going into next week.

I mean it's not riveting, but it's good, IMO.

I guess I just lowered my expectations b/c it's Higley, and she's been surpassing them. She's really impressing me. (For now.)

I will have to agree I liked that part also. I like the Bo/Hope/Chelsea interaction, they need more of it. It shows them as a loving family and presently that is rare on some shows.

Thanks to my Tv and now DVR woes I have still only seen the Ejami stuff....so let me gush for a moment.

I freaking love that kiss Sami planted on Ej. With Ej Sami is a sexy vixen and I love that. Sami has always been pretty, but with EJ she is beyond all that, she is a sexpot...and ummm James is looking so good. He has his bod back. This is the best James has looked in ages....to quote a posting friend...DAMMIT THERE ARE NO WORDS, JUST NO WORDS!...I love the confidence Higley is having Ej display. The character has his sexy mojo back. And with James accent, I could just listen to Ej talk all night long.

:hail: *bows to Higley for keeping SEXY and GRAY on DAYS*

I just read Prevuze for Monday and Sami/EJ have another talk where Sami reveals how she forced herself on Austin and expected he would love her afterwards just like EJ expected she would love him after what happened.  She then says it wouldn't be fair not to forgive him since Austin eventually forgave her.

I can't believe they threw that out there.  I find that more impressive then the talk yesterday because they never really came out and said Sami forced herself on Austin on the show.

Oh, wow! I'm REALLY impressed with whoever wrote that episode! I didn't think they'd ever go there, at this point.

I agree, Mason! VERY glad that Sami's not a hypocrite in all this.

*Bows down to Higley*

Since they wrote this episode with EJ's explination and then Monday's with Sami's confession... it tells me that SOMEONE might be listening to the fans :o

UNLIKE at ATWT. That Goutman interview makes me ill.

Fridays show was very enjoyable for me..Mary Beth Evans was excellent and made me tear up at her devastation of going into early labor..And the last 2 scenes were heartbreaking..It was nice seeing Chelsea, Bo and Hope at the hospital supporting their family..And i enjoyed Hope's flashback, mainly because i must have missed that episode..

Phillip has totally become my favorite male character on the show..I just can't get enough of Jay..He's so damm sexy, and i love Phillip acquiring more control and power...Also its such a treat getting Victor and Phillip scenes..As we hardly had any of those last year...

And finally, i'm officially on the EJami train...Such great scenes today..EJ was so sexy when he asked Sami what she was going to do to prove that she's his..i like that EJ came out and asked her point blank, where do we stand??? He does deserve to know that..The kiss at the end was very hot..

I only watch two soaps, but I try to follow all of them except for B&B. I think DAYS is one of the better shows right now, as far as sweeps go.

DAYS is really having a great sweeps. Sure, it's nothing over the top and crazy dramatic like February Sweeps was, but this month has changed many of the storylines on the canvas and many of the characters lives!

Good job, DAYS!

I agree. While I like sweeps events like plane crashes and such, I actually much prefer months like this. I think if you do one big event like a disaster or something a year then for at least the next sweeps you should try doing what Days is doing now and going the more simpler route.

I watch all 8 soaps (sometimes Passions) and other then OLTL, Days is the only other show really putting out anything decent. I'm not loving Days right now but I am liking quite alot and feel it's only getting better as we go along through sweeps. B&B started out so good but it's fizzled for me big time. The other soaps aren't even worth mentioning. GH I was starting to enjoy a bit more again but the end of this week trashed that for me but I do like it a bit better then most of last year. OLTL and Days are the only ones at a high level for me right now.

I did the same thing this morning. With my old dial up connection with this nearly worn out computer I can't even access You Tube or watch any videos. Pearly's avatar was moving sooooooo slow I had to stare at it for a long time to see the entire thing - maybe 5-10 minutes. Totally worth it, though. :P
