Personally, I'm for a Stephanie/one-way ticket out of town pairing myself. |

Really great show today..It was so much goodness packed in one episode...First off loved seeing Tony and Anna again, and it was nice to see them sharing scenes with Roman and Kate..Aww that quad is such a missed opportunity...But the proposal was very nice...Hope they get a beautiful wedding, but with Day's current budget i'm not sure it will be too lavish.. I was glad to see see Bo and Hope sharing some light scenes together and with Ciara at the end..That little girl is such a cutie and really looks like she could be Bo and Hope's daughter..Also liked that Hope mentioned taking a picture for Shawn.. Abe and Lexie's scenes with their therapist was great...I really hope to see more of this story and i hope we see the outing with Theo....James and Renee deserve a meaty storyline.. Steve and Kayla also had very nice scenes..Mary Beth was fantastic again..loved them picking the name Joe, and was very surprised they brought up Adrienne's son being named Joey...Drew i know you had a gripe about them naming him the same name as his cousin, so make sure to watch that scene.. And finally, the real drama was between Lucas and Sami..Wow, what an entrance..Great stuff and i'm glad Lucas got to hold Ali..Looking forward to the rest of the showdown tomorrow..And i really felt bad for EJ when he walked back into the empty bedroom... |

I don't mind Stephanie. I just don't like who they have paired her up with. I liked how they took into account that Justin and Adrienne had a son named Joseph instead of forgetting those kids existed. |

I'm not really impressed that they acknowledged it. It would be just plain bad writing if they didn't mention it. I still think it's tacky for them to go ahead and name their kid Joe. |

Today's episode wasn't bad, but it wasn't good either. It was just blah. And that's not a good thing, for me at least. I hate the Lucas/Sami/EJ storyline right now. It's completely wrong and is totally ruining Sami, probably more than Hogan ruined her. While Hogan was writing, Sami, while she lost a lof what made her a bitchy schemer, she was still true in her beliefs. Hogan didn't ruin her morals. And when I say morals, I'm discussing adultery. Adultery is a very important thing where Sami is concerned. The same act ruined her entire life and made her into the person she was. The fact that that is true, makes none of what's happening make any sense. I don't care how hurt and upset that she was over Lucas refusing to talk to her. Sami would have never stayed married to Lucas and slept with EJ behind his back. It just shouldn't happen. And it wouldn't happen if Dena was actually writing for the character, rather than just the plot of a triangle. I get that EJ and Sami share a special connection. I've been a supporter for them since 2006. However, within 3 months, it seems like the last year and a half of hatred Sami had for EJ was just thrown out the window and she has forgiven him for everything that he's done. And to make matters worse, she goes to bed with him. Why? Not because she loves him. Not because she wants to be with him. But because she doesn't want Nicole to have him? Are you kidding me? You honestly are going to tell me that this is good character writing? If it is, then I am really shocked and people really need to start figuring out what character writing is and how differs from plot-driven stories. But anyway, back to today's show, particularly the scenes at the DiMera mansion. I feel like Lucas' return has been nothing. We haven't seen this character 4 or 5 months and I wasn't happy to see him at all. I can go without seeing Maggie, Caroline or Victor for a few weeks and then when I see them, I'm making this huge deal. And here you have Lucas, who used to be one of my favorite characters return and I couldn't give a hoot. I hope to God that Lucas walking in on Sami and EJ having sex is the last straw and LUMI is put to rest finally. I don't want to see Lucas' character continue to be dumbed down and ruined by having him take her back and continue to be with her after she slept with his enemy while still married to him. That's not entertaining to me. It may be to some people though. Whatever. Bo and Hope were cute today. And I loved the new actress playing Ciara. She's so cute and totally believable as Bo and Hope's daughter. She looks a lot like Peter Reckell. Thank God they got rid of the Hobbses. I don't know how I feel about Roman and Kate. I think Josh Taylor and Lauren Koslow do have chemistry, but the character of Kate becomes so weak when Roman is around. And I don't know if there's a way to prevent that from happening. I wouldn't necessarily mind if Kate becomes a different person around Roman. That really does happen. There are certain people that make others act differently, just when they're around. I don't mind that. As long as Kate keeps her characteristics away from Roman, I'm fine. I wouldn't mind KAMAN, Round 2. Tony and Anna are a complete joke and I don't give a damn for them anymore. Please let them get married, ride off into the sunset together and avoid any more stupid stories. I don't know about anyone else, but I'm really annoyed when the episode begins with a scene and then it is revealed to be a dream/fantasy/whatever. That's so annoying and I'm not a fan of those fake outs. I don't get the point. That just set the tone for Steve and Kayla's scenes today. I don't like that they named the baby Joe. I still think that it's tacky. I am impressed that the writers gave a damn to even bring up the fact that Adrienne and Justin's son is named Joeseph. The reasoning for it not beign a problem, with Justin and Adrienne's Joseph being in college rather than just a baby, making it not confusing, bullshit. It could have been worse though, I guess. They could have named the baby Shawn. I can't wait until the day comes when Lexie and Dr. Carrington begin their affair. It's plain as day that these two are going to wind up together and we're going to have to watch as Lexie and Dr. Carrington give each other longing looks during marriage counseling with Abe. Gahh! :eyeroll: |

Sami's not married to Lucas, but she claims to still love him as if she were. She's said over and over and over again that she's married to E.J. in name only and that her heart belongs with Lucas, and so on and so forth. It may not be adultery in the literal sense, but IMO, she can't claim to love Lucas one minute like she has been, and hop in bed with E.J. the next minute, and it not be cheating. The whole situation seems so forced and contrived to me. It's such an obvious, cheap plot device to have Lucas forced to live with E.J. and Sami at the DiMera mansion. Why can't he live with Kate? He's not married to Sami anymore, so why does he have to live with her? And after a year plus of telling E.J. how much she hates him, Sami's suddenly jumping to have sex with him because she's jealous of Nicole? It doesn't even make any sense. It's all so plot driven, it's almost a joke. |

I was rolling my eyes watching Sami tell Lucas that her marriage to EJ is not real! She could've come out of that marriage a long time ago if she really wanted to. Rather, she decided to help EJ from getting deported by staying married to him and becoming even closer to him. That is a choice Sami made. No one twisted her arm! She wouldn't have agreed to help EJ if she didn't care for him. That was her chance of get him out of her life if she really wanted. |

Exactly. She could have ended the marriage by now if she wanted out! She did not cheat on Lucas. She is married to EJ and obviously has feelings for him; plus Lucas told her to move on! Telling someone to move on means the relationship with them is over. How anyone can say she cheated on Lucas is beyond me. |

Call me old fashioned, but to me, when you verbally claim to love someone who loves you back, and then you have sex with someone else behind their back, it's cheating. |

^ LoL! I think Tammy's tuna comment in the spoiler section has been the highlight of the week for me re Days! I do love EJ and EJ/Sami but I'm so back and forth with all the (writing) changes. Some of it I like, some is annoying as hell and the rest is just...boring. Considering I had a love him he's brilliant v hate the way he's writing this with Sheffer, I probably should be used to feeling this way - but I'm not. And I sure can't disagree with anyone who says it's boring -- or with anyone who's loving it. Added: But if you're in love with two people.... and that's pretty much how I'm seeing this (today anyway) |
