Ditto Ditto on the Lucas screaming and repeating the same Dialogue over and over and over again. Poor Ali has to do that "fake" sad face for the whole epi day after day! |

So I'm reading the day ahead previews now and apparently, Tony and Anna have already married (off-screen) and according to Morgan, they're on their honeymoon. What a jip! |

Tony and Anna certainly aren't my favorite couple on DAYS, but I do feel they deserved to have their wedding focused on. This man is your nominee for Lead Actor at the Emmys. How about we start treating him that way? You don't see Drake Hogestyn and Peter Reckell with nominations. |

i do not want to see tony as lead, the fact that i am even able to stand him is all due to how little he is on and that hes paird with pacey's Teacher!! lol. i wouldnt had minded a small little wedding thing with just them, but what are the odds of that happening with Anna? that said i wish Days had soems trong single men in that age range - because Tony and Roman do not cut it from the amazingness of Kate and Anna. Oh how i wish Paul could mix it up (tho i actually think paul/marlena would be hot and free up jawn for anna but..) |

Now that Tony is a good guy I just can't see him doing much in Salem ... I know Thaao got an emmy nod - but that's because of the character of Andre not Tony and that Thaao has been around awhile. I like Thaao and all but he is a method type of actor and does not come across very natural. I don't think his performance were emmy worthy anyone can play an over the top type of character! |

^ But Tony's always been a "good guy" sort of. In the 80s, he was the anti-hero, the flawed good guy, wanting to do the right thing, and avoid the DiMera curse, but unable to. It wasn't until Reilly started writing for Tony that he became bad in the mid-90s. |

Marlena is driving me nuts. Maybe it's just me who is getting this vibe but over the past few episodes I feel like Marlena almost wants John to go to jail and go away because she hates the new John so much. Then again, I could just be inventing these fanciful motives for Marlena because she is so damn confusing/boring. Yeah that's probably it. Cause I also don't buy for one second Roman's claim that he misses the old John Black and isn't enjoying seeing Jarlena break up. LOVED the Chelsea-Ava bitchdown at the police station. One thing I really love about the change in Days since Higley took over for Hogan is we got our bitches back. Damn I missed that. After yet another day's ride on the Lumi Guilt Trip, I'm just about ready for Lucas to shoot Sami and then himself in a murder-suicide. I mean he'll be able to punish Sami for cheating and keep EJ from ever having her. You can't lose, Lucas! Either that or they need to get some new material or go the fuck away. I don't care. Oh and Sami... wtf is up with those doe eyes for EJ one minute when she wants him to go save John and then he leaves the room and she's right back to groveling at the altar of St. Lucas. Seriously, this bitch can't even have one conversation talking to EJ about what happened after they had sex, can't even discuss custody arrangements before reaching for the annulment papers to put on a big show of her devotion for Lucas? BITCH! I hope EJ sleeps with Ava and/or Nicole and Sami gets all nice and jealous and there's not a damn thing she can do about it. I mean even if I didn't like EJami I still wouldn't understand why at this point she would choose Lucas over EJ. She's forgiven EJ for the rape so there's a clean slate there. Setting aside looks, EJ has a job while Lucas doesn't and Sami has said that EJ has been a better father to the twins than Lucas has. So what exactly is the attraction besides Sami having some dysfunctional need to be judged and belittled and insulted as she desperately begs for love and acceptance? Have I said lately how much I love that Henderson is back? That's kind of random, but I can't help but being glad that he is still working at the Kiriakis Mansion. LOL at the lusty saxophone during the Phloe scenes. Those were... um... interesting. Daniel's scenes at the pub with everyone talking up his feats as the Jolly Green Giant of Alternative Energy made me want to barf. Poor Nick. And then we find out Dan Christ saved some cute little blonde girl and Chelsea calls him a "rock star"? Didn't they use that exact same term for Nick the other day, except it was Stephanie saying it? Talk about adding insult to injury. |

The Philip/Chloe scenes were HOT! Oh, how I love Phloe. I love how Philip cares about her, how he softens when he's with her. I liked seeing Chloe with her defenses down, being vulnerable to him. She cares about him, he knows it and he likes it. I like how Chloe doesn't want to use Philip and he doesn't seem to much mind being used! LOL These scenes were definitely worth the wait. :D |

I just watched today's show and did not like it at all. First of all, the J&M scenes. I absolutely hate the writing for Marlena. She drugs John (which I hated) and has a line when they're still in the mansion that she did it because he had "some kind of a phobic attack". Thanks, Dr. Evans. Then, who do we see championing John's innocence? Sami! Of course! Meanwhile Marlena's in Roman's office saying that John should not be locked up because... ready? "This is about me!" It's like "opposite day" for John and Marlena. Marlena would be fighting for John, even if she is struggling with her feelings over whether he's innocent. One of Marlena's character flaws has always been that she puts everybody else first. That's part of why J&M weren't together after their affair. And, Marlena's usually written as a powerful person. But today, she couldn't get anything done. They could have had a "we're in this together, John" type of line for her when Roman refused her request. But no, that role is filled by EJ now! So basically Marlena comes off as ineffectual and wishy-washy in her beliefs. HATE THAT. Let's see, what else. I felt terrible for Suzanne Rogers to have been given those token lines about making her restaurant environmentally friendly. I do think it's wonderful that the show is focusing on the environment, but I wish they'd give Maggie more to do than serve as their spokeswoman. At least let her get involved in one of the storylines! And what did I miss - since when did Dr. Dan become an expert on the enviroment? Lol that guy is multi-talented, to say the least. Lucas and Sami - I laughed at that line where Sami said to Lucas something like "You are the love of my life. Why can't you see that?" I felt like raising my hand and saying, oooh, I know!! And enough with the Santeen music with EJ. That story overall seems sort of directionless to me. It's like Sami just goes back and forth between the two of them - and they're letting her. Love triangles work MUCH better imo if it's crystal clear who everyone is "meant" to be with. Fine, the fans may disagree on that... but it comes off to me that the writers have not taken a position on it either. Oh, and the babies for the twins... I giggled when Sami had that line about how comfortable little Allie was with Lucas, and then the baby whined and walked away. Obviously babies can't do what you want them to on screen, but usually if the actors ad lib around it, it can work. And is that other twin supposed to look like EJ? Overall, a pretty poor show imo. Hope the writing improves soon. Not sure I've seen any indication that that's happening. |

The writing for Marlena has been absolutely terrible lately. Glad to hear I'm not the only one who thinks so.
LOL I forgot about that. Such a shallow moment. I have a friend who's compared this writing to "Cliffs Notes", and she's right. Like, let's make Dr. Dan look good in 5 seconds or less. Ok, here's a way! The writers need to learn about character development. Haven't seen much of that at all. |

Ugh, this pisses me off. I don't care of they're being treated like filler, ancillary characters, I love Tony and Anna, and I wanted to see their wedding, damn it - especially after all the silly, stupid crap they've been given so far. I mean, other than stalling during the strike, what was the point of all that if we don't even get a halfway decent payoff? And people wonder why I can't stand Higley's writing. |
