Please do not copy & paste - link to DR: Summary: Nicole learns EJ's got a secret this week. His annulment to Sami is valid, but he's lying about it. Arianne Zucker ponders her character's dilemma: SOW: EJ's drunk and dancing with Nicole at Chez Rouge when he drops the bombshell. Do Nicole ears prick up? AZ: Definitely. Nicole always likes having extra information. But there's a funny thing happening. EJ and Nicole are becoming friends. She likes the guy. She has a good time with him. So she's got the info, but what does she do with it? SOW: Does Nicole feel bound to keep EJ's secret? AZ: Nicole's never really had a friend before, so she's never had a secret to tell. That's the part that's difficult for her. For the first time in her life, maybe she wants to help somebody, even though it is a double-edged sword. SOW: Because if Nicole divulges this information to Sami, she might have a shot with EJ, but he'd be furious at her for blabbing, right? AZ: Exactly, Nicole's smart enough to know that. SOW: EJ tells Nicole he loves Sami and is not giving up until he gets her back. How does this make Nicole feel? AZ: Sad. Nicole doesn't think Sami deserves to be happy, especially with EJ. This guy has gotten under Nicole's skin. SOW: What happens when Maggie summons Sami to pick up her husband? AZ: Sami arrives, but she's not happy. She says it's because of her child. "Johnny's father shouldn't be out drunk in public." Nicole calls her on the truth: "You're jealous because, yet again, I'm with EJ." Sami drags EJ off. SOW: The next day, EJ runs into Nicole and asks if he said anything he shouldn't have. AZ: Nicole says he didn't. She's holding onto the information. She wants to think it over. SOW: Eventually, Nicole comes clean and tells EJ she knows the truth about his annulment. How? AZ: Nicole calls EJ and drops it into the conversation. Later, they run into each other and start talking about it. EJ doesn't remember what he told Nicole, so he asks, 'What are we talking about?' Nicole starts toying with EJ. Instead of blurting it out she starts to call Lucas. EJ takes the phone and disconnects it. SOW: Is blackmail next? AZ: Nicole tells him all she wants is a friend, someone to listen to her. She makes EJ feel bad. She turns the tables on him, but in a sincere way. He ends up following her back to the Kiriakis mansion. SOW: And then? AZ: EJ calls Nicole out on her behavior, on her Nicole-isms. He's not trying to hurt her, he's being honest. They're sitting close. He suggests she might try being a little nicer. Nicole leans in and kisses him. It's a sensitive kiss. It's not Nicole being a tramp. SOW: Are they affected by it? AZ: It definitely affects Nicole! She longs for someone like EJ. His morals kick in, and he stops things. But there's definitely an attraction between EJ and NIcole. Nicole really likes him, but she's nervous because she knows he's not available. She's going to get hurt. She should know better, but she's still doing it. |

Only if they leave EJ in it! But yeah, the Ejami/Lumi storyline is awful. My ideal scenario (but, no one usually agrees with my scenario:) EJ and Nicole are in cahoots to deceive Sami so EJ can win her back. Nicole is in it for the physical attention. However, as they go along, EJ realizes that Sami might not be worth the effort to try to win her back. In essence, he is trying to do with Sami what Sami is trying to do with Lucas: earn WORTHINESS. Nicole accepts EJ as he is. As EJ takes a good look at Nicole, he realizes Nicole has what saw in Sami: gray streaks and sauciness, with a "I don't give a flip what anyone thinks" attitude. Sami doesn't have that anymore.Nicole does. EJ finds himself falling for Nicole. Nicole admits she's falling for EJ, a guy who doesn't judge her and can give her the attention and self-worth she's been craving all those years. End of my psychological examination! :D |

I saw this episode here yesterday! It was awesome and a must-see, IMO. Sami tried to fight off her jealously but failed miserably and it was really evident. |

Ari is great in this scene and James in amazing! Very Funny but also very poignant scene. The comedic timing is perfect and then it switches up with a very significant and moving, sincere, poignant repore between two very lost characters. The characters of EJ and Nicole are so complicated and so layered. They are two very flawed and lost people who really want to find love. EJ with Sami and Nicole just wants to find somebody who will finally love her. I can see that EJ enjoys Nicole's company because, she's fun and she feeds his ego. Nicole enjoys being with EJ because he accepts her but still tells her the truth, that she can be better and he believes she is better and not as shallow as she wants everyone to believe. EJ wants a family, something he has always wanted and with Sami he has that, Sami has given him a son. I wish that EJ would just let Sami go and if she comes back to him then it is love.... For Nicole I want Eric to be recast and brought back so they can have that love story that they are due. I think that EJ will somehow make that happen. I would love to see EJ convince Eric to come back to Salem for Sami but mostly for Nicole. I would like EJ to be the Knight in Shinning armor that he should have been before Hogan came and wrote the mess that has left the character of EJ from moving forward. James Scott is the best Romantic Leading man that Daytime has to offer. In fact he proves it over and over and over that he can bring it every scene. Edited by cjknick, Jun 1 2008, 07:34 PM.

^ I would also love for EJ to let Sami go. I'm confident that she would return to EJ. More importantly, this would show Sami how special EJ is to her and maybe set her in the right direction for once. |
