^That would be my feeling too but no writer will ever be allowed to go along with that sentiment with Corday around. Otherwise, Hogan would not have had any issues getting his stuff onscreen.
Then they should find a new job.

^I think that is the point. I don't feel it's as necessary as some of you do.

Ok. But that still doesn't solve the problem of the Days HW position. No matter who is in that position and no matter how good they write, they are going to be faced with a bitch of a time and that isn't really an excuse. It's just the sad truth and, sure, one could say make the best of it and still try to put quality out there but while you sometimes may do that, you can't do it consistently when not only do you have a interfering EP but rabid fanbases who are as fickle as they come.

But Dena hasn't done it all. Up until now, I feel that her time as HW has been a failure. She's a hack.

Then move on! Why repsond to it? Please don't act high and mighty when you're basically just going to respond to everything I say. Prove it and move on and don't acknowldge this post. Thanks

I won't say she is a hack, at least not during this tenure. I will agree that she has the show kind of just twisting in the wind and that the show is far from what it needs to be but I won't go as far as failure yet. To each their own.

When I'm forgetting scenes that are apparently supposed to be important (if you didn't know, this drug bust storyline is supposed to be their big storyline right now), then you know that you have failed. I watched the scenes at the station today between John, Abe and Roman and I honestly don't remember anything concerning John until he returned the mansion. Not really the big storyline that's successful

If I were HW, I believe I would try and just write what I felt was a good story and not worry about the damn fanbases. I would also try and get insight from the actors and really try to separate and have characters actually act like individual characters.

I am with Drew and wish some of the stories were more character based. Because there is no denying Higley is mostly a plot-driven writer and like many have said loves her events. I am enjoying DAYS right now, having said that the show overall is boring and needs some excitement and stories that come out of left field, such as Bo's illness and as in the spoilers someone elses illness which again comes out of left field very soon.

How was I acting high and mighty? I just acknowledge posts with someone I'm conversing with out of respect so that the person I'm posting with knows I'm not ignoring their thoughts. That is just the way I am. It's a respectful gesture I've always done on message boards. If you don't see it that way, it's your right.

Forget it. It's not worth it. You always have to make everything hostile and don't say you don't because there are ways to disagree with someone without saying things in the tone you say them in or without making assumptions like someone is acting superior to others.

Kirk, I feel the same way. That would be my approach and, personally, if Corday interfered with that, I would quit but then that would leave the same problem to the next person who replaces me as HW.

I just wish they could drop Corday. That would solve a world of problems.

Hogan sure wrote like a hack during his DAYS tenure, the most bored I have ever been with DAYS, outside of Higley's first reign of terror. I just wish daytime could shake it up, Hogan is going to his third soap now. Let's see some new blood, Kola Boof anyone :scared:

If it's not worth it, why are you responding to it? Ask a lot of people. You can disagree with me and as long as I feel that you respect my opinion, I'll respect yours.

I agree. The show was very boring when Hogan was writing. The whole feud and letter crap was HORRIBLE. He also made me HATE Sami, Lucas, and EJ! I like all 3 of them again now. I don't love everything about the show right now, but overall I am happy with it.

Gee...I don't know. Because you made a false claim against me, saying I was acting as if I was superior to others? Sorry but when someone does something like that, I'm responding because I won't just sit back and watch someone make assumptions about me that aren't true. I don't think any person would.

I do respect your opinions. I respect everyone's. I don't get why you feel I don't.

No worries. I'm done responding. I explained myself. Take it as you will.

I enjoyed Hogan's run as HW. But there were definitely parts of his tenure that I found annoying and I openly spoke up about them. He destroyed Sami. I'm not going to blame him for ruining Lucas because that was all Reilly that ruined him in the first place. I hated how he didn't seem to know if EJ was a good guy or bad guy. I understand that there are grey characters, but it didn't come off as EJ being a grey character that can be brought on both sides. It was more like, we're going to write him as a good guy this week and then a bad guy next week. No rhyme or reason.
