Please do not copy & paste, link to DR: A fire on the docks leads the police to Philip this week, as things heat up for the Kiriakis heir on both the business front and the romantic one. It's a tough job, but Jay Kenneth Johnson is up to the task. SOW: Morgan asks Philip to stop John. Why? JKJ: Morgan doesn't have anywhere else to turn. Her father, Paul, is tied up in something bigger than he can handle. Morgan knows Philip is involved in it, but she can't go to John. He already told her to bug off. She's desperate for someone to help her father get out of the mess he's in. SOW: While he's with Morgan, Philip gets a call from Paul, saying he wants the rest of his money for setting up John. So Philip is actually a big part of Paul's problems, isn't he? JKJ: It looks that way. What part of Paul's downfall, I don't know. Philip doesn't want Morgan to know who he's talking to, so he covers and hangs up the phone. He'll deal with Paul later. SOW: Is helping Morgan just an act? JKJ: Philip is playing both sides. He's intrigued by Morgan and honestly wants to help her. If Philip's plan goes as he intends it to, everybody is going to come out a winner. But that is probably not going to happen. SOW: The conversation turns to Chloe and how Philip told her he needed space. Is Philip being dishonest with Morgan? JKJ: Well, he's not necessarily lying. Philip and Chloe are friends with benefits. SOW: How does Philip react when he finds out John's shipment has been set ablaze? JKJ: Philip's in shock. He keeps saying, "I had nothing to do with this. You have to believe me." This was not part of his plan. SOW: Later, there's a confrontation among Morgan, Philip and Chloe. What transpires? JKJ: Chloe tries to call Philip out on having ties to Morgan's father. She's like, "He's not telling you everything, honey." SOW: Morgan insists she trusts Philip. Does Philip feel guilty? JKJ: As he becomes closer to Morgan he definitely feels guilty. That said, business is Philip's number one priority. He wants his family and his business to come out on top. SOW: Paul blocks that when he calls Philip and tells him the issue with John's shipment has been resolved. How does Philip respond? JKJ: Philip is very confused. What did Paul do? SOW: Obviously, Philip must suspect Paul of setting the fire. JKJ: Philip wanted the shipment detained. A fire just draws more attention to everything. SOW: Is Philip realizing Paul may not have been the best guy to get involved with? JKJ: He's coming to that realization. Desperate people do desperate things, and Paul is desperate. Philip doesn't need that. He wants to cut ties with Paul. SOW: So he can have a shot with Morgan? JKJ: Although he does like Morgan, first and foremost, Philip wants to get away from this mess. |

Ohhh, this sounds good. I like how it's more about protecting himself with Philip. So within character. |

Morgan is so clueless, or madly in love. All the signs are there that Phillip is involved in some fishy business, and more than once, he has been seen around her father. |

I think this sounds great. Finally things are heating up and no doubt this all sets up Paul's exit. I'm very intrigued and so happy Philip is getting so much airtime. He's one of my favorite characters now and I am so happy Philip/Morgan is getting off the ground. Good potential there and keeping Chloe involved should make it interesting. |

Yeah, I wonder how lil Miss Magnolia's going to take it when she finds out that Philip actually is working with her father. With Ashby's exit coming up, I bet he either ends up dead or locked up for this mess. Morgan'll freak once she discovers Philip's involvement. I look forward to seeing that. :D |

I like it a lot. I know many here doesn´t like Dena but what I think is apparent she knows much better than Sheffer how the DAYS couples and stories work. She knows the basics. We have yet to see how it transpires on screen, but this sounds like a premise of a great story. |

^I agree in a sense but she really needs to start amping up the stories. She's built things up enough. I also wish she had Hogan's writing team. That would make her material worlds better. |
