Tuesday's show was pretty good, nice to have a break from Daniel and Chelsea..My favorite scenes were Chloe and Sami..Enjoyed snarky Sami, but then liked seeing Sami being a little nicer to Chloe towards the end of the conversation..I'm also very intrigued by Chloe and Lucas as well..After being wasted for so long, its nice seeing Chloe finally getting something to do minus just hooking up with Phillip..

I just don't get those two these days. Did I miss an episode or something, where they explored their 'relationship' further? Because last I checked, they were just "friends with benefits," fuck buddies. How can anyone be hurt or over anyone in this configuration? How can anyone move on? Seriously, am I missing something, other than Chloe's ditzy, unbelievable short-term memory, to forget these things?

Occasionally, yes. However, in a mansion like that? That'd never happen. There's a time and a place for everything. Eating pizza at the town carnival? Acceptable. Eating the same food and greasy breadsticks in, what did John say, a 27,000-square-foot mansion? HIGHLY inappropriate. But, that's Lucas. (Like it or leave it -- and I'm sure everyone knows my position on that one!)
LoL, well I don't know about you, but I wouldn't care if I were living in a mansion; I'd still eat whatever the hell I please! If that includes foods of the greasy variety, so be it.

The only thing worth watching today was John & Ava's date and the last few seconds with Philip & Chloe. I guess Lucas bumping into Hollingsworth on the pier will be brought back up later. And why is Lucas out without a disquise or something? He could've bumped into somebody who really knows who he is.

^It's like I said; Lucas is a low-brow, simple-minded fool. That's why he didn't bother to at least wear a pair of sunglasses and a hoodie! the man's an idiot!

Gotta catch up...

Tuesday was an ok show. I really enjoyed the Sami/Chloe scene and how Sami softened toward the end. It's weird. I'm enjoying Chloe now that she has purpose. Also really enjoyed Philip/Morgan, the John scenes (especially the cologne stuff), and I did find the stuff about Max and his mother mildly interesting.

Now, on to today's episode...

I just loved John and Ava. The scenes were well-written. Drake mentioned in SOW this week that he loved the interaction with Ava and you could tell. So refreshing. Loved their talk about what happened to him and what happened to her. They are similar and it's logical they would be drawn together. Nice slow build to a kiss. Days should offer Tamara whatever she wants. Give her a Nadia Bjorlin deal and let her come and go. This girl is gold and I think she is too good to let slip away. Loved her scene with Sami too.

Philip/Morgan are just great. Good chemistry. Again, nice slow build and with Philip's dark side and the whole business angle/feud with John there is lots of conflict to explore. You can tell Dena has picked a direction here now. Love it. Liked the way Chloe is used here and loved the scenes at the end with Philip. Liked the progression of the Paul angle too.

I am also enjoying Lucas/Chloe. Nadia and Bryan seem so into it and I can't blame them. Something new and different. This is why I like mixing things up. Days is doing it and are really coming up with some nice pairings. Lucas and Chloe are slowly being brought together and Lucas is so much better away from Sami. How refreshing...which leads me to something interesting...

Has anyone noticed that EJ and Lucas seem to be having more scenes away from Sami now? I find them both so much better away from her. I can't believe I'm about to say this but I'm at the point where I wouldn't even mind Sami leaving the show. I love Ali and I know it will never happen but still. I don't want her running around just being a bitch for the hell of it. I don't want her to regress but I don't want her to be a whiner either. She's bringing other characters down. She's a big mess right now and I don't think anyone knows what to do with her. It's awful.

Speaking of awful...I used to be ok with Chelsea/Daniel but now...they lost me. Maybe it's because it seemed like Days was backing off and now they are picking it up again but it just seems to me they are feeling for a direction rather then just picking one. I just don't get this. If you want to go ahead with them, do it. If not, don't. It's too much of a push-pull and now that other stories are getting direction, this one stands out IMO. I did like the talk with Kate today. It helped Daniel along as a character. I kind of wish they would do something where Kate falls for Daniel and Lexie eventually does too. That would be interesting.

The Max/Dean/Nick thing got good at the end. The beginning sucked. I do think Darin is doing a good job with Roscoe and loved Nick wanting to give back the grant money and how stern he was. Glad he grew a backbone and it seems Nick is finally getting some of what made him a good character back. Hopefully, Blake Berris continues to get good material. I also liked the little tension-filled Chick moment.

Not a bad show today and the week has been good so far IMO.

This may be just more nitpicking from me, but I have to point out something really rubbed me the wrong way during today's show. In the scene where Bo arrived at the Kiriakis mansion, Philip opened the door and told Bo, "My father's not here." And then the two went about the entire scene like they're not related, like they're not brothers, like they don't have the same father. The script writer today really screwed that scene up, and that pisses me off that neither Jay or Peter corrected the line.

I'm watching the show now. Mortified by how low Lucas can go. Deep dish pizza and breadsticks?! No wonder Sami is attracted to the more worldly, sophisticated E.J.

Hey, Lucas... there's a plate of spaghetti and meatballs over, well, THERE. Go chase it (off the show)!

Meanwhile, anyone else think Max is a douche? I could understand if the dean (still haven't memorized his name) had some sinister connection to Max's past, but we have no indication that's true. So, all we know is that this FOOL is mocking a college dean. JUST because he THINKS his calculations are right, and the dean's are wrong. Fucking jerk!

No, wait. Fucking DOUCHE. Max is a joke. He was better as a racecar driving slut. This is sick. Talk about hating to hate a character!
Have I told you lately that I love you? Because well... even though I eat deep dish pizza and breadsticks on occasion this cracked my shit up.

Couldn't agree more about Max being a total douche and liking the grease monkey slut better.

But I disagree that Lucas wearing a hoodie and sunglasses would have been a better plan than no disguise at all. Dressing like the unabomber really isn't that conspicuous IMO.

Pheonix - so friggin weird that you mentioned this.
I thought this for two seconds while watching, then put it out of my mind because it is such Days sacrilige!

When I saw Lucas yesterday, I was so proud he was away from Sami. I am so happy he is doing something else!
EJ and Nicole are interesting, EJ is finally going back to his snide, self confident ways. I am so happy he is not trailing Sami right now.

Then Sami tore a new one into Ava and Chloe, then bitches at her mom, and disrespects John like she owns the place. Not to mention sounding totally ungrateful for the built in babysitters, big mansion, and total care by other people.

Sami is being an awful character...and yes, she is bringing everyone down. I wouldn't mind her taking a rest for awhile. For being one of my fave characters, I just can't stand her anymore. She is doing nothing good for the show and isn't very productive lately...and totally bipolar.
For me right now, Sami could go.
I can't believe I said that either...not like NBC would lose their golden girl...but come on!

In the last year, I've lost so much of my love for Sami. I thought that if she could do anything right, Higley could at least write properly for Sami, but so far, she hasn't at all.

Sami's just become an uber bitch now under Higley. Can we please get a middle ground? Hogan wrote her completely wrong, but Higley isn't doing anything right either.

After all... tomorrow is another day!

I thought the Sami should go away thing after her being a bitch to Chloe the other day. I'm sure Ali is busy with the Biggest Loser but I don't want Sami gone completely, just for a while so they bring the character back rested and start fresh. For all the times they have Marlena run away to find herself it's too bad they haven't done that with Sami and actually rested her a couple months, but I guess that's not really plausible with the twins. Maybe they could give Sami a fake death? That would actually be interesting as EJ and Lucas try to figure out how to raise the twins with Sami gone with them fighting at first but also maybe forming some sort of grieving bond. Then she could come back shockingly at some Christmas service or at the wedding of EJ-Nicole or Lucas-Chloe to tear up Salem again.

Good idea, IMiss!

What about giving Ali time off to do her Loser show...and say that Sami went to Colorado to be with Eric and to take some time away for herself and her kids. Hell, even visit her other son that she never mentions.

Let Lucas and EJ move on with whoever while Sami refuses to take their calls, and then she can make her grand return right after EJ and Nicole have mind blowing, slamming into the wall sex! Maybe she can walk in on them! Or hell, even join them!
You know Sami has a little freak in her!...and I ain't talking about Lucas!

Really? Because I just saw the show and I remember pretty well Bo adressed Phillip "Bro" at the end, with a clear hint of sarcasm. And he also made it very clear he will investigate the fire properly no matter if he and Phillip are related or not.

Because there's been emotion there for a very long time. Chloe made the suggestion because she could see that Philip wouldn't be into anything more. He's warned her for a long time now he doesn't want a relationship and feels he's incapable of loving anyone. But the show is going out of their way to remind us that 1) Phloe used to be in love and 2) that they still have pretty strong feelings for each other. Despite what they're saying, it seems obvious to me that Philip has feelings for Chloe and Chloe has feelings for Philip. That's why she was crying.

Philip is using Morgan, and that becomes more apparent to me with each episode. He likes the additional control/leverage it gives him over Paul. He actually laughed when Chloe asked if they were involved or if Philip was interested. There's no reason to deny it if he were. They've already agreed that they can see whomever else they want to see, but they both get irrationally jealous whenever they spot each other with a member of the opposite sex.

Philip wants Chloe close. He wants to take care of her. He misses her when she's gone.

I'm not seeing anything between Philip and Morgan. No spark, no chemistry. There's nothing redeeming or enjoyable about her character at all.

And Philip's going to be responsible for Paul's death next week. I can't see how they could ever be a viable pairing with that hanging over their heads.

That bugged me too at least until the end where Bo implied that just because Philip was his brother he wouldn't get any favors from him.

But especially on the door opening scene. He could have said "Dad's not here."

I know you are a Phloe fan, Sariah, but I loved Phillip and Morgan yesterday! It was fresh and new, and there is such an awesome story that could evolve from those two if written right. I think Morgan can take Phillip on.
I know Chloe and Phillip have a history, but they have kind of soured on me recently. The "friends with benefits" thing kind of ruined them for me. And Chloe has been a bit whiny.
HOwever, I like Phillip juggling between the two!

And couples have gotten over alot more than a daddy's death and still were a great pair. Heck, Chloe accused Phillip of rape once, and they moved on.

I don't think the Chloe rape thing is quite in the same league as Philip being responsible for Paul's death. Because 1) Chloe didn't really claim rape, Nancy pushed her until she did (because Nancy was so sure she had been raped) and 2) no rape occurred. With next week's spoilers it seems to indicate that Philip sends goons to keep Paul quiet, and said goons push an unconscious Paul into the river.

And I am a Phloe fan, but I'm also a huge JKJ fan. Jay has chemistry with just about every he runs across. I hated Belle, but I could watch Phelle scenes because they had chemistry. I'm sort of surprised by the Morgan thing because I always thought Jay could have chemistry with a potted plant. Kristen Renton is proving that theory wrong.

I am a JKJ fan too...and this story with John and Chloe and Morgan and Victor has me watching...unlike almost every other story going on right now.

And I don't think I can stress enough how bad the Sami story is right now! Today with Lucas was awful! It was the same damn conversation for the entire show..."do you trust me? do you want to tell me anything? You can trust me. Is there anything you want to tell me?"
Kill me now!

Speaking of today's show, loved John and Ava and was disappointed that Marlena walked in. Soapy drama, though.
Totally fast forwarded through Max and Nick. Don't know why...just not in the mood.
And it was funny...I could totally predict a flashback coming with every character, especially Lucas. So bad!
