Corday won't put up with mediocre ratings for much longer, Reilly was fired when they were getting 2.4s. So, who would you replace Higley with? I hated the Santeen crap, but Sheffer was arguably a much better writer: too late, he's gone to Y&R! So, bring back Reilly or Beth Milstein or even Sheri Anderson or Brash & Cwickly? Someone that brings back Jack/Jennifer, especially Matt Ashford: I'd wholeheartedly support that person. |

I'd like to see Brash and Cwickly return as Co-HW's. I'd also like to see back on the writing staff: Sofia Landon Geier, Beth Milstein, Tom Casiello, Bettina Bradbury, and Mike Cohen. And the longshot that I'd really like to see back at DAYS is Richard J. Allen. I think it would be sweet poetic justice if B&C replaced Higley. Edited by Mason, Jun 12 2008, 06:39 PM.

LOL! I would be STUNNED (and happily so) if DH was let got before her one-year anniversary on November 1st. (Yeah, that's right. I said it. Everybody knows it. No big secret.) But Hogan was given a full year of fluctuating ratings, and I'm sure Dena will get at LEAST that, since she and Ken are so tight. |

As someone else said Corday doesn't take much stock in replacing people when ratings drop its not until they have a falling out which is probably when said person tells Corday to shut the fuck up. Though Higley's recent blog posts might piss him often. |

I still think she was referring to Ed Scott, and not Corday. Ed's WAY too hands-on an EP. And Ken loves Dena. Ed has no allegiance to her whatsoever. |

Tom Casiello seems to have a great understanding of the show and what viewers want to see. I'm just sayin'. :) I think that a Hogan Sheffer/Sheri Anderson co-HW team could be splendid, as well. |

I loved Cruise of Deception and the introductions of Lawrence and Carly. But that whole John/Roman debacle was BADLY conceived. It eventually paid off, obviously (once we got to Sami's return). But those first few months of "Roman" learning he's John, and Roman coming back, were just REALLY wonky and all over the place. In hindsight, we rave about it, but I distinctly remember having day-to-day issues with it. Of course, that whole fustercluck is MUCH better than what we're seeing now, so I'm not complaining. Just sayin'. |

She didn't write that. She wrote Days either as co-head or head from 82 to 86 and then 92-93. 91 was most of what you're talking about. |

My honest opinion is that NBC will once again force Corday to bring back their golden boy JER. And knowing JER he already has a 6 month umbrella story ready to go. |

Oh, really? I stand corrected then. Who wrote 90/91? So Sheri was there RIGHT before Reilly/Vivian buried Carly alive, right? So that was Jennifer's rape? Just trying to remember what those stories were. |

Bite your tongue! LOL I would never ever want him to return to Days. He was good during his first run, so-so during the start of his second run....and then got worse and worse. And after seeing and now hearing what Passions has become, no way. Keep away. Edited by downwhtone, Jun 12 2008, 07:19 PM.

IMO, JER's the only writer from DAYS's past that's actually worse than Higley. If Corday was forced to bring him back again, I'd drop DAYS like that. I couldn't go through another period like 2003-2005. |

^I think Corday would let the show go first before bringing JER bacl. I really do. He didn't want him back after the first run and sucked it up to bring him back but I doubt he would now. I just can't see it and I don't think NBC is in JER's corner anymore either after Passions went downhill. Hmm...who should be HW...well, can't all of us Days blog writer get together as a collaborative effort and write the show? That would work and then we could gang up on Corday if he tries to intercede LOL. Ok...being realistic now...I think Rick Draughon is getting the job. I really do. However, going outside of the current team, I can see Corday going to Brash or Milstein. I have worries about Milstein because she does well with a transition and tying things up and that's all we really know about her so it would be a risk. Brash I'm fine with. I would love Richard J. Allen. Loved his stuff and wrote my favorite story ever, the COD. Tom Casiello would be awesome. Plus, he brings fresh ideas to the table and would likely bring some of Hogan's team with him. I just doubt Corday would go for someone who worked with Hogan. I like Sheri Anderson but I can't see her working on Days as HW. Maybe as a co-HW but I think her stuff wouldn't help the numbers and we've all seen what happens when former HW's try to recapture their golden eras. It never seems to end well. That is my fear with her. I would also be fine with SLG getting the HW's job. She worked at Days for awhile and wrote wonderful episodes. I would give her a shot for sure. |

Ahhhh, thanks Tim. I thought that was Sheri. So Richard also wrote Roman/John? And I know Reilly wrote Vivian/Carly and Sami kidnapping Belle, the Alan rape, etc. Those years are blurring together for me - what did Sheri write? I need to go researchin'... :-) |
