Sheri wrote, among other things, the affair story between John and Marlena. |

Gene Palumbo wrote the tale of two Romans. That was in the second half of '91. Jennifer's rape was in late '90 and was written by Allen/Schoettle. |

I'm enjoying Higley, so I don't really want her to be replaced...but if she is, I don't think it's any secret who I'd want as the head writer... |

This is the best resource I know for dating multiple storylines at the same time: http://www.bethsdayspage.com/days/archive/sigdayslist.html And here is the list of writers: http://members.aol.com/jason47b/writers.html Someone needs to make a webpage cross-referencing these (with the ratings!) lol. |

And I just have to post this - this is one of the best descriptions I've ever seen of Sheri's writing, and yes, this was written by someone who is not generally a J&M fan. http://nospoilerdays.wordpress.com/2007/11/21/master-plotter/ Edited by Ellie, Jun 12 2008, 07:34 PM.

Sheri co-wrote with JER from 1992-1994 I believe. My dates may be fuzzy. It was during that time that Vivian, Kate, Austin, Billie, and Lucas were introduced. Laura was brought back and so was Sami. Sheri had nothing to do with John/Roman. In fact, she's said many times she hated that and would love to reverse it. The Buried Alive story was done during this run and so was the Pit and the affair. I also heard (don't know 100% if it's true since she was gone a little before this) that she played a big role in the Maison Blanche story in 1994, which makes sense because I noticed that things got really outlandish and started having more plot holes after that story during JER's run. I forget who wrote the John/Roman stuff in 1991. There was really a dropoff in quality after Steve's death in 1990 and that carried through into early 1992. Things were really dark and the writing as choppy. I think somewhere around the Pit story Days began to rebound. So, in summary, Sheri wrote from 1983-1986 I believe and then had a run with JER from 1992-1993. |

Our only hope is that Ken Corday's doctor recommends he take an early retirement. He's 58 so let's cross our fingers for that. |

Ah...I always forget Gene Palumbo. Hated his writing. Allen and Schoettle were pretty good together, although things got really dark during their period. That was my problem with their run. |

Regarding Maison Blanche - Sheri left in spring 93, and Maison Blanche was summer 94. She had nothing at all to do with that story. That was pure JER. |

Maybe we should also send him a special birthday gift... oh wait, I can't afford to go to jail LOL. Is it possible for someone to offer him a nice package for early retirement, please? |

LoL, if Corday ever did retire, you just know he'd shut the whole show down with him. He'd never let it be run by anyone else. |

We can send him a nice bag full of shit, with a card telling him that that's what he's turning DAYS into. |

I know she left but I heard that she and JER talked about a story that was very similar to New Orleans. It was meant to be the vehicle to Hope's return and to be the catalyst for Roman's exit. They went back and forth and she wrote some things and I heard JER used alot of it and added in stuff. Obviously, she didn't write the whole thing but I heard she did have influence. Just look at the stuff that happened after she left JER. It all had plot holes. When she was there, most of the bases were covered and things were more grounded. Even during the Buried Alive story. Every effort was made to ground that story and make it believable and that is why it worked. That same effort was not as obvious in story from late 1994-1997. |

Maybe he'd pass it down to a child or a niece/nephew, who hopefully has brains. |

Well I can't argue that the writing was better when she was there! I agree, all of her stories were very grounded and believeable - and this is a soap we're talking about. |

^Well, I didn't like all her stories but I do think she and JER worked very well together. She really grounded him and tamed him. It worked well but I don't see JER ever agreeing to work with a co-HW again. He's too egotistical now. |
