This was the first episode I've watched in almost two weeks, and although it wasn't great, there were some good moments. Mostly Ava and Nicole. I agree with Kenny--we need Ava to stick around and be our new "Kristen". Although Eileen Davidson's Kristen is first in my heart, I can totally see Ava as a similar type character. Loved that confrontation with Marlena, Hope and Ava! That's definitely something Kristen would do. |

The John-Marlena scenes were good. Thanks to Roscoe Born for FINALLY making a MadMax scene interesting today. Finally, I was actually curious and compelled and didn't want to reach for the FF button. I am really agnostic about Phorgan or Phloe and which one is hotter and which one the show should go with, but I don't really like the writing for it. I can't really put my finger on it, but there's just something off. Didn't like the episode starting off with Phillip snogging Morgan and then leaving the pier to presumably go swap spit with Chloe. I can buy Phillip as a cutthroat businessman way more than I can a manslut. He just always came across way more of a romantic than a womanizer. I mean even when he was written as a psycho with roid rage I always thought he had a tender spot for Belle. And while I can buy EJ as a womanizer just because of his European rich playboy vibe I still have to offer up a big WTF to the EJ-Nicole scenes. It started yesterday when somehow EJ's confrontation with Lucas is what set him off racing after Nicole. Why couldn't it have been an actual talk with Sami that led to this? That I would understand. It just makes no sense he would be that pissed off when Lucas told him that Sami had feelings for him. And I'm not even an Ejami fan who is hostile to Ejole but those scenes weren't very sexy at all, I thought (and I did think there was chem when they were both drunk at the bar a while back). I'm glad Nicole refused to let herself be used for sex, although I'm annoyed with how EJ was written. If EJ is supposed to be in love with Sami obviously him slobbering all over Nicole is wrong. And if this show wants EJole to happen, then they should make EJ a lot more considerate of Nicole's feelings. He didn't seem to care about what she was upset about at all. I just don't get what the fuck they're doing other than I guess trying to get the guys shirtless at least once every two weeks, no matter who their partner is. While I'm not opposed to shirtless guys, a little semblance of romance every once in a while wouldn't be such a bad thing. And I have no idea what the Tony-EJ talk was all about. He says he thinks EJ likes Sami and wants to be with her because it's what Stefano would've wanted, yet he encourages this sentiment and tells him to fight for Sami? Why on earth would Tony of all people say something like that? So bizarre. Victor is such an asshole! I so wanted Nicole to slap him. But damn those two have great chem. I didn't like how that Paul being rolled into the harbor scene was shot. But I guess I'm glad we actually got a cliffhanger at the end of an episode for once. Atlhough I haven't looked at Prevuze to see if it's continued into the next show... so maybe I've spoken too soon. |

Watching Ejole, enjoying it, then she wants them to go up to Victor's room and they totally lost me. The hell? YOU HAVE EJ? Don't even think about Victor? Nicole putting the halts on it shows growth. So John is now backpedaling? This is worse then Nick saying he would call Chelsea to check on Kate, he's now wanting Marlena back? Ugh, so much for my newfound respect for him. Marlena saying John doesn't want a woman obsessed with him implying Ava makes me want to scream. Marlena has been 100% obsessed with John. *grumbles* Stax and Roscoe. Man, you throw RB in these scenes and my attention perks up big time. I think DB is doing better the last couple of days? RB's influence maybe? Giving him some pointers? At least RB looks a lot like DB (IMO) so this isn't too out there looks wise. Loved Trent asking Max how much it would cost to keep him quiet. Very soapy. I did feel like Stephanie seemed rather useless in the scenes but I suppose I can give a break that the shock was too much for her to digest. She didn't see it coming unlike Days viewers. Phorgan, I could have spent watching Phorgan longer before they got interrupted. Like I said, it would be a treat after watching Channing and before that Stava. I think I do see chemistry while others don't. Even if I'm just projecting, at least the story is much more compelling than a lot else that is going on. I do love EJ and Tony scenes. But I am like WTF with Tony coming up with this EJ only wants Sami out of loyalty out of their father. The hell? EJ was way way into Sami before Stefano even returned Paul! Paul! Paul! I don't want him gone!!!. |

Roscoe Born is just rocking my Days since he came on. He's drawn me in to the Max storyline, something I thought was impossible. But I'm still loving John and Philip. Sigh... |

Yes! For the first time since he has been on, I was totally entranced by a Roscoe scene! Max and Trent was really interesting, and I look forward to seeing how this plays out and how Nicole factors. WTF was Tony telling EJ? That whole conversation must have been written in code because I didn't get anything he told him. And what happened with EJ and Nicole? I have seen chemistry with those two, but Nicole calling it off and screaming for him to leave? What happened there? She wanted to screw in Victor's room so he could find them, but two seconds later, she was yelling for EJ to scram? Both EJ scenes today were unusually screwed up! Was it bad editing? I was kind of disappointed with NuJohn going with Marlena instead of Ava. I have been enjoying the crap out of Ava lately, especially with John. Marlena puts me to sleep recently. And yes, totally disappointed I didn't get more Phorgan! And really ew-ed out that Phillip goes from tonguing Morgan to tonguing Chloe! I never bought Phillip as much of a playboy either, and never bought him much in love with Chloe since she has been back. Why is he going after her so much? Enjoyed today's show...if I could just understand the EJ scenes. |

Philip has never been a manslut. He's always been a romantic. He was that way with Chloe the first time in high school, and he was that way with Belle. This is just another instance of Higley altering the character to fit the call of the plot. |

How is Phillip a manslut? He is sleeping with Chloe, while slowly developing feelings for Morgan. The kiss was unplanned and initiated by Morgan who was really upset. Phillip is up his neck in this shipment/war with John stuff and doesnīt think he has time for love, thatīs why he has that SWB deal with Chloe. He is trying prove himself to Victor and Morgan is not even part of the equation, yet she is there. Thatīs what makes it romantic. |

Phillip has never been one to play the field. He's always been genuine with the women he is with. I still think this situation with Morgan and Chloe is excusable because he is using Morgan. She may be developing true feelings for her but he isn't. |

I loved those scenes. They are really giving Nicole a lot of layers lately and AZ really shows what she is capable off. As for what happened, Nicole was about to do the same mistake she did so many times before. She first enjoyed it because she has feelings for EJ and would love to sleep with him and tryed to be that bad, naughty girl she thought EJ wants. But when things got really serious something in her head screamed STOP! I think it has a lot with whatever she was doing with/for Trent. Anyway, I feel really sorry for her lately. The way Victor treated her was awfull today. I know she deserved it, but you can see how desperate she is for someone who is not seeing just an exporn actress and city tramp in her. She even said it, the thing she wants most is respect. |

She may be developing true feelings for him but he isn't. Yet he can't stop thinking about her. I think tomorrow's show is going to address the fact of whether he is developing feelings or not. This is just another instance of Higley altering the character to fit the call of the plot. Bingo. |

Phillip is having sad, abstract looks on his face after sex with Chloe. He is thinking back to Morgan a lot. The best he manages to say Chloe after she admits her feelings for him is "I care about you a lot too." And he is talking with people about women and how the only important thing is sex, no love. The only one who is developing some unrequited feelings is Chloe, not Morgan. |

jane - I felt bad for Nicole too. She is one of my faves right now, and EJ using her and Victor trashing her, I just wanted her to win for once! And when she yelled about the "cold hard cash", it is obvious she is trying to find her hard exterior. Here's to Nicole finding her inner bad ass, and kicking Trent in the balls! Here is to one of the guys in her life realizing what a great person she is. Oh, I have a questions for the long time fans here. There is alot of talk about Nicole being this big whore...who has Nicole slept with? Has she slept around alot? I know she was married to Lucas (consumated?) and Victor, and had something with Brady once, I think. Did she sleep with Brady and Austin? What about Phillip? Sami keeps saying she is this slut...and many fans refer to her as such. I really don't remember too many past conquests! |

Philip is not being written well, and I think Morgan is part of that problem. She brings his character down. Philip has always been the kind of man who is devoted and loyal to the woman he's with. He did try to stop Morgan today, but she latched on like a leech until Chloe busted them up. And Chloe was HILARIOUS today. Loved her acting that way! :D On today's show Philip assured Chloe that he would never intentionally hurt her or do something to make her upset. And now that he knows about her feelings, he will be careful. So if he wants to be with Morgan, he wouldn't keep sleeping with Chloe. He would just end things. But he doesn't. He AGAIN tells Chloe she's the only one he wants to be with. I think him thinking about Morgan is his own guilty conscience for slapping her dad around and refusing to help him, despite Morgan and Paul begging him to. Roscoe Born is awesome, but even he can't get me to watch Max pouting. I love watching EJ and Nicole together, but I wasn't really feeling them today. Something was off, and I didn't get the spark that I usually get from them. I do like Nicole's vulnerability and I'm glad that she stopped things. I want better for her than a man who still thinks he's in love with someone else. |

I don't think of Nicole as a huge whore, although I get why a lot of Sami/Ejami fans say that because compared to Sami she certainly is. While Nicole was forced into whatever porn/prostitution she got into as a teen, she chose to be a bit of a gold-digger when it came to her marriage to Lucas arranged by Kate and her later marriage to Victor. She's also been a perpetual interloper trying to seduce guys from their intendeds so I get why that could come off as slutty. While I'm all for Nicole getting more dignity when it comes to men and not throwing herself at them as much or only viewing sex/marriage as a means to money, I hope with her maturity she doesn't lose her edgy bad girl side completely. It's bad enough Sami had to be bastardized to become the weepy heroine. I don't think I can stand Nicole being defanged as well. |

Let me just say the past two days, in particular today, have been very good. I agree with Kev in that it seems things are coming together. Finally. The Max story does feature re-written history but it's not blatant and Trent was never more then a short-term role so I can tolerate it and Roscoe is delivering. Loved his scenes and Darin really stepped up. Hell, so did Shelley. I really enjoyed these scenes and I'm officially hooked on this story, shockingly. I just wish it wasn't on every day but I digress. Like the Nicole angle here too. Loving the interactions. Nicole/Ava was great yesterday and I'm glad to see her using her Vitali power to try to protect Nicole and John. Loved Hope and Marlena's talk yesterday but boy did they annoy me with how they treated Ava. I hate how they both get all high and mighty when around someone like her. I wanted Ava to just haul back and slap her. EJ/Nicole was good. Loved the chemistry and love how the Trent angle has brought the past back for Nicole. It really played nicely into today's scenes. Her backing off from EJ because she had been down that road before and didn't want to be hurt, knowing nothing would come of it because EJ loves Sami. I'm loving how slowly we got to see Nicole's soft side. Ari is rocking. Loved the Nicole/Victor interaction too and the end scene with Nicole saying she wants more then cash. Glad Nicole and Victor are sharing more scenes. EJ/Tony was interesting. Love them together and I like how Tony mentioned how EJ may be holding on to Sami because losing her would go against what Stefano wanted and would tarnish his memory. I never even thought of that but it makes sense. J&M have been great this week. Enjoyed their scenes and how John explained he was trying to hurt her and how she had been hurt most of all because she lost someone she loved. Great scenes and loved the tension of John's phone calls, building up to a creepy end to the episode. Also loved the humor too with John asking Marlena what she wanted to drink and for dinner. Could've dealt without Marlena squealing when John said she was beautiful but can't have everything. I really enjoyed Philip/Paul yesterday and the Paul/Morgan scenes. The tension built up well and John's phone calls played well into this too. Philip/Morgan were great and Renton did a good job the past two days. Ashby's been great too and their goodbye scenes were solid. Enjoyed Philip/Chloe and the look in Philip's eyes when he was on the phone, telling someone to make sure Paul didn't talk was chilling. Nadia sucked though. Renton and Johnson made her look awful today. It seems she only brings it when she can be a bitch but even today when she was bitchy she wasn't good. Someone needs to wake her up. The ending was creepy with Paul just being rolled over and into the water. Finally things are happening and the show is good without the Lucas/Sami/EJ shit. I am liking Lucas and EJ both away from Sami. I say give Ali the summer off and stick EJ with Nicole and Lucas with Chloe and let's see what happens because it's amazing how good it is for EJ and Lucas and how good it is from the show. Very good week this far this week. Hope it ends well tomorrow. |
