Please link to DR: Note: This article is summarized. Though the actress has been involved in some high profile storylines since joining the show in 1976, her onscreen presence has diminished in recent years, much to the chagrin of her fiercely loyal fanbase. Recently, however, she's been back in the spotlight in the renaissance of John Black. "It's like a re-cast with a familiar face," Hall notes of the "new" John. "Drake Hogestyn is the same person, but having said that, I'll add that the intensity of his work and his dedication to dialogue, performance, innuendo, all of it, is greatly increased. Not that he wasn't always dedicated, but he's found a whole new level of acting, which is exciting to play with, because he's surprising now. I don't know what he's going to do next. And the character is very different. It's interesting, challenging, fun, flirtatious and sexy. It's like a whole new excitement about going to work." Hall admits it's a nice change. "It's been several years since we've done much, but you go along," she says. "But you're glad to be working and you're glad to see your friends every day and the check is nice and all that happens, and then you think, 'Oh, this is what I like doing! This is why I like coming here!' It's great. Everybody's on board with the storyline." Time off set enabled Hall to work through her split from her husband, Steve Sohmer, and create a new life for herself and her sons. "I built a house, and I love working on that," she says. "It's the first time in my life that I have had a home that was mine, and I mean mine apart from my parents, apart from a room-mate, and apart from a husband. But I have a sense of having the freedom and the ability to create whatever I want. I have my roses, and I have my huge back porch and I love going home. I love my bed. I love my flower beds. I love my kitchen bench. I'm just living a life a choice and comfort and acceptance and ease with myself, with my surroundings, with my world." So if Hall is smiling more than usual these days, it's no surprise. "My life is so good," she says. "And I'm so lucky and blessed and grateful that I'm just happy in the zone." |

Ok people that's how SOD twisted what Dee meant: LIFE is good for her now and they made it seem like it's only because she got the divorce.....So dont read only the words SOD put in a cover!!!! |

Its awesome that she is happy! I just wish she could be put into a better storyline, but I'm glad she's not letting that bring her down. |
